it does seem stupid to make your own mistake and not learn from the mistakes of others. even if you do not send 1 email - you can get tied up for a long time and be an isp's next press release in their never ending competition to show consumers they filter spam and fight spam. how quickly will you turn over your mailers when the first subpoena comes?

the comparison is that you made a business decision with acacia- ie. it was cheaper to license than fight. it is also cheaper to turn over your affiliates than go the distance.

pointing fingers is not our gig. there is a lot of public information on certain programs turning over data at the drop of a hat. there is also a lot of public info about many companies with state and federal lawsuits pending against them.

some companies go chapter 7, some drop their pants at the first sign of trouble, some make their case and come to a resolution and stick to it. hopefully you will never have to learn the hard way because i see how emotional you are and you would not handle it very well with this attitude.

again the issue is the automatic/random inclusion of skin sponsors images within the frame of random posters. it seems like an imposition to us, and especially in this case.
