trial vs monthly memberships
anyone here ever get a increase in daily joins when they went from trials to only monthly memberships

Nope, but mostly more real members which don't sign up for a trial because they want to leech the member area empty and cancel their trial membership within 3 days.Trial to full member conversions are mostly ~50% or less.Some intelligent guys like the PerfectGonzo people limited their trial access so I think they get better trial to full member conversions.

non trial means more cash in the long term, because your members are not poor asses and they rebill!

Here is our experience:
One member was coming back each month and joining with trial to get past month's updates and canceling right away. When we took down the trial option, he joined for 3 Months!  Currently we only have monthly joins and we are using a join page only exit console to offer trials, which is only triggered once they go away to another site or close the window. And our "trial to full" conversion ratio with those joins much better than the previous. I hope that helps  |

I agree guys. I fucking hate leechers that signup to a trial and then cancel right away
 Also like the exit pop up from the signup page if they chose not to signup, but not as cheap as $4.95. $10 and up will do...
