posted this in Q n A...needing an answer sooner than later
No spam intended...need an answer faster than I think I will get in the Q and A section.... Wondering if anyone has info on streaming live feeds for our site. We are considering sending a stream to one of our unix servers. Here's the question: once stream is encoded with the new windows media encoder and pushed to the server can someone still view source and see the open port and IP of the feed or is that protected and secure??? Ace

				 | The answer depends on how your streaming interface is designed. You could have a feed that's completely wide open, available for anyone to utilize, or if it was designed properly it will be completely secure. Not all feeds are written the same, of course. |

				 | So it is still protected by the code rather than at the source of the server....that is my question re: the new encoder.
