Fuckin a, Pantera was badass.

First song by them that I ever heard was "This Love" and it was on Beavis and Butthead way back in the day.

Anyone else still remember the first Pantera? When Dimebag Darell was Diamond Darrell and they were a cheesy hair metal band that sang songs like "Come On Eyes", the ballad "Forever Tonight" and "Hot N Heavy" (that actually had the lyrics: "Want my ice cream cone baby? Go ahead...take a lick. I can't wait to get you home and beat you with my stick")?
Ah, the pre-Anselmo days....

I think I still have "I Am The Night" and "Projects In The Jungle" around here somewhere...time to rifle through the cassette collection...

Yeah, its probably been 1 or 2 years now since they broke up.

Phil has his own band called Superjoint Ritual.

Dimebag and his brother Vinnie Paul formed another group called Damage Plan.

Yeah, I downloaded a couple of the CDs from their "glam era." Quite amusing, but I am glad they turned into the real Pantera.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, I just did a Google image search for "Vinnie Paul Clubhouse" trying to find the pics, and came up with this.

I first saw Pantera at the Ritz in NYC, they opened up for Suicidal Tendencies. No one had any idea who they were, but once Phil started singing Cowboys From Hell i was hooked. It is too bad they broke up but i have to say Superjoint Ritual kicks ass and at least Phil is still putting out kick ass metal.

Vinnie paul is a fuckin self centered prick
if you are not a 18 to 22 year old slut with an oral fetish for older fat guys
he would not even say thank you
if you walked up and said something nice.
