Ivan is totally crazy! It is speeding up like a beast!

Friday, it was at 40mph.
Saturday, it went to 60mph
Sunday morning, it was at 85mph

Yeah, but it looks like it may go to south Florida after Cuba.

Probably a good idea.

As I said in my thread, the model showing the turn into Florida may or may not be correct. We'll know closer to the time it happens. It may just keep turning and be an oceanic storm, and for the sake of Florida, I hope that's what happens. Otherwise, Miami is going to feel this one.

I'm keeping a close eye on this. Folks in Florida and southern Georgia and South Carolina should be doing the same, because if it does turn away from Florida, it won't be turning sharply enough to skip making landfall, and South Carolina may be the strike point.

Don't know. Watch and wait and hope, that's all we can do.

I am in Louisiana, so that is why I am watching this one closely. The following image is what the "computers" think it will do. They change constantly, but this is what they say at the moment. Looks like more of a chance of a gulf storm than one that would hit the carolinas.

Miami Dade and Broward emergency officials are now recommending leaving shutters up until we know what's up with Ivan.
There is a saying that says: "Never 2 without 3"
