Anyone buy "discount" image set content like paulmarkham etc?

What to use it for? filler? tgp's for feeder traffic? or is it worthless in todays oversaturated conent trending toward niche?

You have a lot to learn about this industry.

The content on www.paulmarkham.com is the best we have. It's displayed in order of the date it's released and the date is shown. This is nothing unique to my site, it's a well used method.

We release 8 to 10 new sets a week. People can buy a new set on it's day of release and get it up in hours. This gives their members new unsaturated content, for $35 to $50 a set. Sales within the first month are minimal and the chances of a member seeing a set that new before are about the same as being hit by lightning.

Also a lot of our girls are exclusive to us or being shot by very few others for the Net. Not as good as exclusive granted but at 10% of the price what do you epect? A clever buyer can deliver 10 times the content for the same price. What has more retaining power, 1 exclusive set or 10 sets he has never seen?

We concentrate on the TEEN niche.

The more obscure niches can be very profitable. If you know what you are buying, assume the guy spending $30 a month to be in a site knows a little about what he likes. The more obscure the niche the less chances there are to get fresh new content, unless you can find someone to shoot it exclusively and knows what the niche is about.

The problem is often the content you can buy has been seen before by a member. Because of the lack of content he will have been a member of other sites, viewing their content. He gets inside yours and sees the same as he saw before, you are in line for a charge back.

As for www.bargainbasementcontent.com yes that's filler or traffic and I make no pretence it's anything else. But the same buyers come back week after week and seem happy. At $5 to $15 a set they should be.

Thanks for the chance to spam.

I appologize if I came off all sideways with that. What I meant to reference was the "generic image set" type business model for content distribution. open mouth - insert foot.

Seems like everyone is shooting their own reality type crap and keeping it to themselves. I wanted a feel for how that model was holding up, we just bought cd-media.net and have boatloads of latina and european image sets that we are going to add to it in order to monetize them. So I was fishing for an indication of interest.

I meant absolutely no disrespect to paul markham hope it was not taken that way. Thanks for the schooling though.

No problems did not take it as a dig, just an opportunity to tell people how I feel.

There are a lot of people out there shooting for themselves, but in the first year it's very expensive and until you learn to use the camera, direct the model and develope a style/personality look no different from the other 100 guys who thought it was a great idea to get blown and make money.

Look at how many of them last more than 6 months.

Same here for my own sites, and this is coming from another content provider!

Bargainbasementcontent photos will likely not get you listed on the biggest of tgp's such as thehun (though they have gotten me listed at worldsex), however I have had an enormous amount of traffic from mid to large tgp's by using these images.

The typical surfer has not seen these images before.

The typical newbie surfer (who is the best customer in my opinion) has not seen many images before except from the biggest of sites.

It is not "overused sponsor content". I filled up my own website with many of these images and have customers than spend months downloading these photos that provide me with many rebills.

The thing to watch out for is these deals such as "20,000 photos for $20". The images are crap and the consumer can tell the difference. Paul Markham content is of much a higher caliber.

Don't expect a miracle for $5 per set but if you use it for what it is it can be very effective.
