Hurricane Frances in Ft. lauderdale, FL (pics)

I am in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and I went out this Am and went swimming in an almost ghost town. It is now 6pm and the winds are picking up so I took my ass in doors!! Man, I hope this hurricane takes a hard right and loses steam out over the atlantic. It's calm right now with occasional heavy gust of winds and rain. I will post some more pics later but here are some of the strip that is mostly packed at 10pm.

Ft. Liquordale strip is a Ghost town.....

Ahh man, seeing all these pictures of FLL makes me all nostalgic. I wanna go back after the storm is gone. I was actually gonna book a trip this week to go there for a small vacation but this storm screwed that up. Every time I want to go to Florida, a hurricane comes by.

Its turned into pretty much a non-event for south florida so far. Just a couple outer bands that were no stronger than a usual thunderstorm.

Dude, that's cool. I've been at Disney World since mid-week and it is dead. Best time I've had in the parks. I highly recommend it as a pricey (Old Key West - Vacation Club, but elegant way to cower in fear.

I even have high speed access from the room. I'm going to keep pinging the home machine until it blows away while eating room service.
