i uploaded a .pl file to my server, but im having a problem

whenever its placed into a link, and people click the link, it tries to download the perl file, it doesnt execute the script


can anyone help?

Is it in your cgi-bin directory or elsewhere? Sounds like you need to set it as executable. Make sure you uploaded it in ASCII format also.

yep, its working now, thanks


had to re-upload it to the cgi bin, and then had to re-upload it again in ASCII instead of Binary

Upload in ascii and make sure permissions are set to 755.
