Yeah the flicker effect is because of the refresh rate that humans dont "see" with their eyes (but which cause the eyestrain). Most housecats dont see anything whatsoever on the tv screen when they have good eyesight.
So if your cat watches tv and sees things moving around on it, their eyes aren't too good.

Anywho, looks nice :) I've got a 42" plasma, but havent used it as a monitor yet.. Great for true widescreen movies though :thumbsup

If you use a plasma be carefull it can cause "burning" on your screen by having the same thing there too long (icons, start bar etc)

make sure to use the DVI slot that works the best and also get the HDTV update from the ATI website if that is the card you use. i often use my 50" DLP as a screen but only when i play games on it. for work it sucks the resolution is not high enough.

i have been thinking.. if they have a wireless/usb hardware for this.. i will be all over it.

What's the maximum pixel resolution on that thing? If it can't go above 2048x1536 (3 megapixels) then I'd rather use my 20" LCD monitor.. But it's nice for movies and shit i'm sure.

Put the camera on a tri. and set the exposure for a lot slower - If the screen has no animation, should take a clean pic

for the tv.. i dont know, but i am sure it is high res.

everything is based off the laptop and it is set at 1024x768...
but the tv looks like 800x600

that would be an awesome monitor for doom 3 in the dark with surround sound cranked up and booming through the whole house :ak47: :BangBang:

I know someone who watched all of the OJ Simpson Trial on the same channel....their big screen now has a KTLA 5 logo burned into the lower right corner. I didn't have the heart to point it out to them though...needless to say this big screen is pretty old to have been around in those days...
