I've had both and in my opinion XM is way better. If you're interested in just listening to top 40 shit (even from the 70's and 80's) then Sirius is the way to go. XM has a much deeper playlist and you will hear songs you havent heard in years. With Sirius there were times they played the same song three times a day. One good thing about Sirius is they have the NFL package.

Agreed. Like the many, many feature of XM, but the football package is key.

Does Sirius come as a boom-box?

I have both of them. I get better reception in my area with Sirrius, but I like XM programming better.

If I had to choose only one I'd probably go with Sirrius simply because of the better reception.

Right now I'm leaning towards XM, just need to find the right setup to use with my Pioneer deck in my Escalade and would like to get it for here in the home also.

My deck plays mp3s also, but I don't go out and download all the new stuff that often. And I can't get ESPN Radio as a mp3

if I cared the least about sports it would probably be a different story, but the talk radio I listen to is available online to download (air america, tom leykis, stern), so that ain't a thing either...

i probably download 15-20 gb of music a week though...
