Really? Every mitsu they sell up here has stock seats, not racing seats. Maybe the australian division does it or maybe they just realized how rediculous it is to do that up here in Canada.

Bottom line, how many people will actually go to rallies with these? not many. I just find it rediculous.

interesting, maybe it's that they don't sell those here, in fact, all they have are Lancers and pared down Evos.

I'd be interested to ride in one of these to see why it needs the seats for street use. Is it a comfortable car at all? Somehtign you could go on long rides with?

I DID see a suped evo two days ago that had after market body kits and other mods done. man, it looked bad. They went as far as to put Viper stripes and even put the word viper all along the side. What really made me laugh was the neon colored radiator hosing showing through the front grill.

err...Evo VIII's are only 30k here :) the new Evo VIII MR's are going to be even cheaper, around 26k - which is basically the same car, minus some comfort features like A.C. and power windows I believe.

HAHA, dude they use those things in WRC..they are "RALLY" cars! Ralli Art made them for that exact reason! These are the real thing.

If you went for a drive in one you will understand why they use racing seats.

Actually all Evo's come with Recaros, as far as I know. I don't find it ridiculous at all, they are actually very comfortable, and most people that own cars like this DO drive them hard - even though they might not take them to actual rallies.

I'd imagine you'd be able to hit ~155 or so. They are definitely geared to pull like crazy at low speed though - gotta love them rally cars :)

Anyway, you live in Australia, don't you? I'd imagine there are plenty of backwater highways there...you should go test the top speed and get back to us :winkwink:

Yeap In Australia, one of the territories here has no speed limits...but unfortunately it is about 2000miles from Sydney :(
