    lcd monitor choices....

i just bought a new computer, i have a 19" viewsonic LCD, but was thinking of moving to a dual head 17". or just a single 17". as the resolution on both(19" and 17") is the same. 1280x1024.

anyone have any good suggestions for which brands to look for or avoid?

i know viewsonic;s are decent. any others?

I have never had an issue with viewsonic.

But There are some really nice screens out there. Do the research on top of what people say. It really comes down to what you use it for.

More so specs rather than brand...look for a high contrast ratio and low response time.

It's not bad, but I think LCD's now have contrast ratios up to 700:1
