    people who make honest livings pay sales tax and have permits to sell stuff in the streets. i'm pretty sure to sell food you have to have a license from the health department, business name, tax id, and a peddling/vending license. i highly doubt they have any of them.

        Dont call cops on people for grilling. As long as they are drinking malt beverages they can grill on the sidewalk... I'm pretty sure thats what the law is.

                                    and you dont need a tax id unless you do over X amount of money ... health department issue...... It takes a max of a week to get that taken care of

                                                                                                                                                                                            compared to COUNTLESS times I have gotten sick from eating at regular " legal " Establishments
                                                                                                                                                                                            Well we are on the edge of la county sort of, luckily the entire area is not all like that. I actually grew up about 20 minutes out of Hollywood where its really nice and residential, clean/low crime and completely different than this part of la county. If not for like Burbank and Studio City the rest of the area is crap for the most part. Hollywood is a shit hole.
