its not really "fear" factor anymore, it was originally about overcoming fears like walking a long a tightrope on a skyscraper and shit - now its just about doing gross stuff and a bit of physical challenge

I have to disagree with you and say that at least a small percentage of people will likely die after consuming animal products decomposed to the fly/maggot stage.

actually, the maggots are added into it, they didn't derive from it...

there was a VH1 special on Fear Factor and they talked to the Fear Factor "chef"

This brings up a point I have often wondered when watching this show. I'm sure the show's producers do some prelimary research on whatever the show's contestants have to eat to make sure it won't harm them. However, how much research can you really do? Some of these bugs are some obscure insect from Africa or some dark cave.

I can just see some of these contestants months down the line developing some intestinal bacteria or some rare condition because of whatever they ate on the show. Of course, the show protects itself by having them sign a health waiver. I just know though that its impossible to rule out the long term negative health impact from some of the things they are forced to eat.

On Fear Factor, honestly, I haven't seen anything on there I wouldn't do or eat just for the challenge. I have seen the Vegas auditions a couple times but I don't look studly enough to try out.

I think they should set up a Fear Factor Theme park/casino here in Vegas where people would pay to do some of the stunts or eat bulls testicles and stuff for prizes. Liability would be a bitch but I am sure there would be plenty of willing people.
