I love this city so I am throwing in some more of the city I came to visit and decided to stay:

I watched the Olympics on a big screen here the other day:

This is about 10 miles from my house. On the top of the hill is the Greenwich Observatory which is the home of the prime meridian. People forget about this palace though:

and finally, the sight that still takes my breath away eight years later:

Wow, Bristol looks great in those pics. I have been past the bridge on the way to Cardiff but never actually in Bristol.

ID...did you just move to London? I thought you were more up north?

I watched in Leicester Square too..in some ways that screen was better because of the enclosed feel from the trees.

Well I'm leaving the country soon, so I need to stay and arrange a lot of things before I go. Soooo much work. I'm actually procrastinating right now. :1orglaugh

Belfast - N.Ireland

Just a few of the very many scenic places in N.Ireland

Giants Causeway

Loyalist Murals

Nationalist Murals

http://www.coatsy.com/n.ireland/5.jpg

N.Ireland has 100's of beautiful places with amazing scenery which is great but then again its also got bitter hatred between catholics and protestants because of over 25 years of trouble.

Aint all bad though, btw we also like our drink but you already knew that :glugglug

Thats crazy. Being in Scotland I know all about the troubles and such. I watched a documentary on it all and it showed you paintings like this. They are on the ends of peoples houses and such.

If only the people doing them maybe tried drawing ir painting for a living there might not be half as much trouble lol

Ireland should be free tho, the UK Government are holding them back.

sangemarmar 08-30-2004 11:42 AM

Yea its pretty sad, before the troubles both sides got along pretty well and there wasn't the same divide, hatred and all the other shit there is now. But after what happened in N.Ireland over the past 25 or so years it changes things for good and things cannot go back to the way they where which is very sad imo :2 cents:
