I think this would generate a syntax error in 20 on a vic.

I think you couldn't use ; at the end of a line. That was other basics. And I don't think you put 10: - it was just 10

I had the TI-994a with a tape recorder too. Who could resist a $99 pc back then? :1orglaugh

Haha, yeah I had one of those too! Parsec, Hunt the Wumpas, etc :)

I remember using cassette drives, dot matrix printers, colored monitors (green is a color bitch!), hole punching 5¼ floppies to make dual sided, text based rpg games, the 1 apple in a room full of tsr-80's, hell could go on.

Mine was a 300 baud homemade job by the local computer users group from 1985 that hooked up to my Commodore 64.

300 baud, C64 back in '85 as well.

Things have come a long way since then.

300 baud external for my TRS-80 Model III back in the early 80s. Modem came with CompuServe and I just recently cancelled it a couple years ago. I kept the subscription for "old times" sake.

Still have the computer, modem, Compuserve notebook (yeah, back then most software from RadioShack either came in ziplock bags or it came in some kind of notebook). Had that baby maxed out with two internal and two external 5.25" drives, which I think cost like $500 each back then. By the time I was done that computer was around $4-$5K. Never bought the 10MB harddrive for $2000(?). Ahh, the days of TRS-DOS and CP/M.

300 baud acoustic coupler with a DIY cable for my Commie 64, then a Compunet modem (any brits remember that place?), 1200/75 Prestel modem
