No gold for Team USA (basketball)

Why do I even watch? These guys look awful.

I wonder what they will do for the '08 Olympics?

They're traveling, missing layups, etc.

Although they're getting called for fouls when they shouldn't but they still can't shoot.

3rd quarter? Shit, it ain't over.

I agree, this yrs dream team is not much of a dream, nor even a team. But to discount these players? With a whole quarter left? Idiotic.

LMAO...what an awesome dream team. For '08 they better select some players that can actual play a team oriented international game.

If they had Shaq, Kobe, Kidd and Ben Wallace, they would be better than the Dream Team.

Na, you need shooters in international play.

Shaq qould foul out so quick with international rules. (or get called for traveling every play)

True, but, Kobe and Kidd can hit shots IMO.

But I was thinking more along the lines of defense.

But yes, international players for sure shoot better. Look at Yao.

For the record, I said they would not even medal before the games started. If they had the above four, I think they would.

If they had the above 4 yeah, but not better than the Dream Team.

What I notice about this team is that they don't guard the outside shots (Shaq and Wallace wouldn't be much help there either).

p.s. Lamar Odom can't shoot.

It would be close. Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Wallace, Kidd. Those are pretty dominant players with marks in history as well man.

The most dominant center ever. One of the most dominant defenders and rebounders ever. One of the great guards ever.

And no, I haven't been drinking, but soon

The international rules make the game actually quite difficult for TODAY's NBA players. And on top of that playing in Europe where all those countries are just dying to see the US fail. They are having to battle not only their own shortcomings that is for sure.

Yeah but Dream Team had all HOFers...pretty sad for other teams when their worst player was Clyde Drexler.

Great team, but do you really think that they would just blow away the guys I listed?

Win or lose, it would be close. IMO.

What channel are you getting this on?

I show it listed on NBC, but I am getting news.

I'm watching on NBC. Yeah it would be close but in a best of 7 series, original Dream Team would win 4-2 at worst IMO.

You know that's what I was thinking when I looked at it again, I guess Jordan and Magic were the starting guards at the time.

They couldn't fit all 12 guys on the cover.

White guys from Indiana did not intimidate the international community at that time.

That is pretty strange.
