Good messenger for Intranet
who can help me get a good messenger for an intranet.
So all employees can chat with eachother without chatting to people outside of the company . Around 35 people should be able to log into it. Thanks Mike |

we actually use a local IRC server with mirc clients - got all the functionality you can ask for - and its super stable.

I use this on my home network and for a freebie, it's a no-brainer...can config it to autostart with the machine and auto-discover the rest of the LAN. public & private channels, a simple msg board. Very easy to use.

yeah mirc would be fine. you can log all your messages. set alerts.have meetings etc etc and best of all it uses vitaully no resources compared to a messenger
