building the next hun is next to impossible. but recruiting the right chick isn't.

I completely disagree. Sites like Consumption Junction and The Hun dominate their fields because of the time that they have been around combined with the relentless pursuit of a high-quality product. The bottom line is the web is still in its infancy. If you build a better product you could have a site much bigger than The Hun although it will most likely take 10 years.

10 years? by then internet porn may be wiped out by virtual reality.

Building the next hun is very possible, and you never know when someone will find just the right formula. Surely you remember the success of a site like BangBus?


Finding a good, solid sales rep is indeed very possible. Finding the #1 type, however, is very hard. You know, the type of person who brings in tons and tons of attention seemingly without any effort whatsoever.
There are tons of "good" sales reps on GFY, yet most of them are fairly unknown, and certainly don't attract lots of attention.
There are only a few people who really have the ability to establish a strong, recognizable personality.

bang bus is a bit different than a tgp. there's only so many ways to link to galleries, etc.

i'm not talking about finding the best sales rep(which would be impossible to measure), you want someone that can bring in new business. you tell me its hard to find an attractive female who has a good personality, intelligent and can tease? gunning for the top is where you should go, why accept anything less just because it may be easier?

hell, even if you can't find the right person who;s already in the business, get someone from outside of the business and develop them.

Obviously, with "the next hun" I meant the next big thing, not the new biggest tgp in the world.


Also, with the "#1 type", I didn't mean the single best sales rep in the world, but the best type... that is, the charismatic kind of person that draws in people as if it were completely effortless.

As for why one should go with less than the best, I think it is best to aim for the best, but also focus on reality.
Here's a little example to make things a bit clearer:

All content producers would like it if they could find models that look like Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum or Cindy Crawford, but those are hard to find, so they use a slightly lesser quality.

Now, ofcourse you shouldn't stop searching, but you also shouldn't let your search for the top paralyze you in reality.
Sure, you'd love to have Heidi Klum, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be using Gauge to make money.
