What type of business license do you have?

When I got my business license for my web site development company several years ago there was nothing classified under "Internet"... so they gave me the classification under "Graphics"...

I want to know if I'm being cheating by paying a higher business tax than others... I've tried doing a search on the government's web site for other web design companies in my city... but it seems that I'm the only one listed...

Also, any special license needed for running adult paysites, or is a web design license good enough?

The county I live in doesn't require a business license unless you live in the city limits..

This is typically a regional thing, GFED. However, typically nothing more than some sort of 'service provider' license is needed, which may cost about $100 per year. Where are you located?
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

I really never found a reason for the business license. If you work stricktly on the internet, there there isn't any reason for a local occupational license, since you don't do any work in that city. Setup a S-Corp and handle all your business that way. Better tax breaks and less liability.

            Location: Tampa, Florida

I'm paying about $200/year for my license... It's not much, but I would like to be able to knock it down to about $50/year...
