Post a picture of your first car.....

My first car was a Renault 18i - not exactly common in the US. My step father was French, and loved to collect such odd cars.

It wasn't running when I left behind in NJ to join the Marines. Years later the guy I left it with got in touch with me, and told me one day he got tired of looking at it so he just rolled it down a hill and left it there.

1979 Toyota 4X4, it had one seat (not good on dates), and I swore I was gonna fix it up, kinda funny considering I don't even know how to change the oil on a car

I had 3 cars in high school. A 68 Ford Mustang. Looked like this one.

A Fiat Sport Spyder like this.

And a Mercedes 250C like this.

Me and a Jewish friend of mine ran our school's bookie operation.

my first car was a 1959 Chevy Impala with a 348ci engine, and a slip and slide powerglide transmission.

I got it from the original owner who bought it when they were 70 years old. It had 59,000 miles on it and was in perfect condition inside and out, except for a damaged front fender, bumper, grill, radiator and water pump from a minor head on.

I bought a '59 Belair that wasn't running but had a perfect front end (even had the nipples in the grill) pulled the front end off the Belair, put it on the Impala, sold the Belair to an auto salvage yard.

Total investment $65. Sold it a couple years later for $300+

Thing would do 120 MPH all day long

haha...I can so relate...my first car was a 1985 Chevy Blazer..It was 1997 and I just turned 17 and got my license..the truck didnt have a working gas gauge or speedometer, the windows (it was a 2 door) would fall into the door if you tried to open em. At times I had to climb out on the passenger side because my door would jam..and talk about overheating...Constantly! Gotta love it tho..too bad I wasnt rich and spoiled..woulda been nice

Blue 1979 Toyota Celica I got when I was 16. Brand new, cost $6200. Hard to believe cars were so inexpensive back then! I drove it for 6+ years, 165K miles on it. Never changed the oil or any other kind of preventive maintenance

Looked exactly like this one:

Bought it for $200 and sold it for $300 a year later in 1993. It was a great 1st car for me and learning how to drive, how to fix hoopdies that break down every 3rd week and how to learn every bus route in philly since the car died at the farthest point from my house.
