Deluxepass shut my girlfiends sites down with no warning!

I got a rude awakening this morning when I found out my girlfriends sites sweetvideos.com and sizzlingmovies.com were shut down with zero warning given. It had a solid 110 active members that she depends on to pay rent and bills and Clement just decided to kill her sites because there were a few unlicensed movies.

Yet a few days ago I got a warning about the same exact movies on my site majorleaguebabes.com with no problems.

This is not the 1st time Clement has decided to kill some sites and it wont be that last. After reading about those issues in the past I knew it was only a matter of time we would have problems with him too.

Looks like she is off to find a mainstream job this afternoon.

Clubhardball.com is his biggest site on deluxepass and I always see unlicened content there... I wonder if Clement would shut his site down If I could provide proof...

I highly doubt it!

She basicly lost $1650/mth for a simple mistake that could have been fixed in minutes with a warning. We have been in this biz for years and we both know unlicensed movies is serious. But given ero warning is B.S.

If you both know the seriousness of it, whey were you using them?

By doing so you danger his program and every other webmaster using it.

Do you think if we would have known they were illegal we would have used them? We had no clue.. Clement has Internal Cumbustion #1 and #2 licensed and we were using #3 by accident thinking it was legal.

I have no sympathy for you......you either know or don't know if the CONTENT you have is licensed....

It is cut and dry.....

I hear Denny waitresses earn 2k-3k per month....

I would suggest that for you and your GF until you can take this buisness serious....

What about the money lost /owed to the people who own rights to those movies which YOU STOLE FROM.

Be lucky i dont investigate and see if you had any unlicensed content from the various studios i work with, then have them proceed with a lawsuit for damages..

Exactly. She didn't get it from his system and just assumed.

Fuck her and fuck you too.

You knew it was unlicensed. Don't even play now that you assumed it was legit.

What about if he got sued because of it?

How about he comes after you for the cost of the lawsuit as well as any damages awarded?

my sites have been deleted also... no warning given, now he said they were deleted because they were full of popups... well if i can count right, i had one single popup on THREE sites, i really doubt that this is "full of popups"... anyways... i wont do biz with him again.

You took a risk hosting unlicensed movies and got the axe.
However getting the axe without at least an explanation is a bit dodgy to say the least.

If you don't get your site back..

The site should have been suspended with a reasonable short time to remedy the problem. That is a bit chunk of monthly money to just snatch from someone who has built up traffic for your program. If the whole site (or much of it) was unlicensed content rather than just 1 item I would agree 100% with permanently directing all their members to the house.

I think I understand uniquemovies somehow.

For some peoples he gives them an ICQ msg or send them email to remove something, but in this case he just cutted the girls head without a warning. I did help setting up clubhardball from the beginning. The time I was in it there where no unlicensed content in it. Ohw waiiiiitttt maybe there was actually. We had to remove some new Red Light District vids from Clement back then. He messaged us via ICQ. But the site wasn't shut down.On the other side that was understandable cause RLD stopped licensing their movies back then and he had to remove some licenses from his DP system. Anyway I'm not with clubhardball anymore since I was suddenly kicked out because my partner from clubhardball wanted bigger % of the income and I didn't agreed with that bullshit. Then my partner from clubhardball said not to upload new movies and behind my back influenced Clement that I wasn't doing shit or whatever. That time we made with clubhardball almost 40K, so I don't give a shit about their practices and their hidden warez sites what they had running with games, xxx, DVD'r isoapps DivX movies, and whetever within the hahahahahaha network.

For me it's history, I have a daily job here in Hungary and I enjoy this.Clement told me to move on so I do.

Actually since the person said they were unaware the 1 title was unlicensed the only thing this should be pinned to teach is to only use whatever content DP provides, don't try to make the user experience nicer on your own.

Nope the moment he delete's you you can wave " Bye Bye " to the rebills and the rest. I've told him to come up with a solution but he said he didn't saw any profit in it so he keeps all the $$$ and rebills and tells you to move on.

The bottom line here is this...

If the company that owned the stolen content came after anyone it would be Clement/DP. They own the domain the members area is hosted on. He would be getting sued not you....

Why would you use content that was not part of the DP network? It's just dumb really! There is so much content available it is sick!

Now I am sorry that your girlfriend lost this revenue but really who's fault is it?

Puhlease...

And what would the ill gotten gains be on 1 title on a DP site? You guys talk like the whole site was stolen content. If it weren't a mistake as they said it seems there would have been more than 1 piece unlicensed content.

The only thing I see these people guilty of is wasting bandwidth by offering surfers higher quality clips through DP

They absolve themselves of liability when they disable the link as soon as they are aware there is a problem.
If they don't send the appropriate portion of the seized monies to the production company they are more of a crook than the webmasters are.

Just asking since we ourselves have found "liberated" content in such programs. (tons of licenses for dvd rips, I am sure you all know most of them). Several to the point that our content made up entire tours, or promo galleries.

btw. 1 piece of unlicensed content can carry a huge ass penalty.

I wonder how you would all respond if Unique Movies had a more entertaining GFY persona. I can already see how that would be going... "such bull shit, they licensed #1 and #2, it's fair to assume they licensed #3 as well. They should have gave you a simple warning! They'll do anything to get out of paying for rebills!"
