Buying SCSI drives, what do i need to know? (used IDE only so far)

ive got 3 ides in there, 1 cdrom.. thats all 4 slots.

im thinking of buying a scsi drive.. what do i need to know about them? how are they different from ide?

Different interface, different cable.

Easy to deal with and other than that it's roughly the same in usage.

I have some of the 15,000rpm segate drives and thought they were pretty quick.

AFAIK You cannot plug the SCSI drive into any of the 2 IDE slots anyway so it shouldn't matter whether they are full or not.
You'll prolly need an onboard or external scsi controller

how about firewire? are they faster than scsi drives?
