Porcshe for sure.

Backup choice would be a V10 TDI VW Toureg. The Cayanne's close cousin :thumbsup

GTS Mark 08-22-2004 09:02 AM

Hey Mike, thanks for the new car, shit first you buy me dinner now a new car ;)

In all honesty I would say go the Range Rover HSE, it's distinctive and just yells out MY SHIT DON'T STINK!

LOL!

Charlo has an HSE and it was pretty awesome to take for a ride. The Cayenne is nice but I think it looks a little too much like the VW Touraeg. If he wants a daily driver I can say enough about our BMW X5 4.4i. I took it for the first long distance drive yesterday and it was awesome!

Fuck if you're giving cars away to affiliates I better get my submitters to get get their asses in gear :thumbsup

They both suck... I'd take a sedan any day.

Orga 08-22-2004 09:06 AM

Cash rulz :)

Marcus Aurelius 08-22-2004 09:06 AM

range rover for certain. no doubt about it.

Joesho 08-22-2004 09:07 AM

Range Rover.....:2 cents:

volante 08-22-2004 09:09 AM

If he's gonna drive it mostly off road, get the Range Rover. It's the sort of car that people can use to help out poor Hummer H2 drivers when they get stuck in those oh-so-deep puddles.

If he's gonna drive it on road, get a Porsche. But not the Cayenne - give him a 911 and tell him to learn to drive properly...

Doctor Dre 08-22-2004 09:27 AM

Cayenne over Range rover ...
anytime

But why not a fully customised navigator ? I mean with the TV and shit, re-done exterior and interior for him ...

really customised shit with spinners .

That will give him 100 time more status ...

really something wicked .

Billy-HiRise 08-22-2004 09:48 AM

DH I will post a picture later of Mike giving me my car : )

Doctor Dre 08-22-2004 09:49 AM

Having your name wrote in the seets tissue looks really pimp too . shit like that

Donny 08-22-2004 09:50 AM

If I had to choose between those two choices, I'd go for the Range Rover. But if I could have any SUV I wanted I'd go with a Lincoln Navigator equipped as Doctor Dre said, but minus the spinners. Spinners are retarded IMHO.

But I'm a Ford man. My most recent vehicle purchases include a new Explorer and a new F250 CrewCab PowerStroke Diesel 4x4.

EDIT TO ADD: When mentioning my Fords, how could I forget the Mustang Cobra we bought and had for a year before getting rid of it? I hated that car! We were replacing tires every 3 months because we drove it so fast in the mountains. LOL.

Kick ass vehicle, for sure. Mike should forget all this SUV BS and buy the guy a Powerstroke.

Honestly I'd go for the 150 as I don't really need the size of the 250 but even though I see it mentioned as a possibility here and there, so far Ford doesn't look posed to put a PSD in one :(

The reason I like the 250 is because of the Powerstroke engine option. SO much power, twice the fuel economy, and twice the lifespan.

I let my ex wife drive it for awhile... she's a tiny person (about 100 lbs) and used to driving Honda Accord sized cars. She got used to driving it and loved it. Although, while getting used to it, she scraped up a small part on the size. It wasn't really a big deal. And what was my point for this paragraph anyway? Oh yeah... the point is, anyone can get used to the size. It's not that bad.

Ahem, all THREE of us are getting cars :)

Just curious how you narrowed it down to a Cayenne and a RR, Mike? I'd say if you want to buy him an SUV, neither of those is the best choice and I personally think a Navigator or Escalade would be better choices.

If it's got to be one of those, it would have to be the RR. Cayennes are for sports car guys that want an SUV but think they're supposed to corner well.

This will be for an everyday car.

Mike,
Lou from Karups here. It was nice meeting you in Atl. As for the bonus, I have a Range and some old guy smashed into me about 4 months ago and the collision shop is still waiting for parts. I was so in love with that truck and the company with the service until this bullshit. I told Land Rover of North America that this is BS and they took a completely satisfied customer and turned me into a guy who would never again buy their product. Anyway bottom line is I would take the Range if you are sure you wont need parts, but considering you might need them you will not be able to get them. Good luck and congrats on the nice bonus.

Lou,

Post pics of the Lambo again! Now THAT would be a nice bonus. :)

Lou it was great meeting you in ATL as well.

That is very dissappointing news about the RR.

The guy we are getting it from is in New Orleans, I do not even think there is a dealership in town. It might be safer to get something less exotic.

Maybe an Escalade, or BMW x5, or the big Lexus would be easier to deal with in reality.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Hi Donny,
here it is the day after I got it. I took it to the local Ferrari dealership to have the 3M stonegaurd put on it. The salesman took some shots of it next to a 360 which is a nice side by side comparison...

http://www.eentinc.com/lambo/

The interior is 2 tone and the yellow is suede and the black is leather.

Yes its very sad because I was never a truck guy before that truck and I LOVE IT, but this pissed me off so badly I don't think I could ever drive one again. I never lied the Porshe, but its been growing on me lately. Keep us posted if you will on what you decide. I am an auto fanatic!!!
