I mean, If you rank high on them - do you get any traffic in return from them ? Or ppl use it only for stats ??

Are you sure you put the master in webmaster?

There are 3 reasons to use the counters that I know of.

1) stats
2) traffic back
3) payments

Of those 3 reasons, the first is probably the only truly valid one.
Oops.. almost forgot a 4th reason.

4) To send away a portion of your hard earned traffic.

I still have some in use... but that's mostly out of laziness

(and partly because others want to see the traffic but I don't want to give them the passwords for the hosting server)

IMHO, the best bet for tracking stats is paid hosting with some type of logging software. Others may disagree.

1-100 in the universe ranks at Sex Tracker, at http:// ranks.sextracker.com you can expect about 1 to 2k per day from getting a ranking there.

Its more for yourself to see how you are doing comapred to other days, weeks, and months.
