Who's the best DRM provider?

What DRM provider would you recommend for DVD-on-demand site (downloadable but DRM-protected movies)? I'm guessing WMV is becoming the standard most people are using (not that I like Microsoft), so I'm thinking that would be the platform.

Thanks.

DRM Networks has been doing this longer than anyone else and is a certified Microsoft Partner. We also provide license clearing for a number of record labels and as a division of CCBill, the system is pre-installed to the billing systems. Our current version of our system is Windows 10 compatible.

Call me if you need more information.

Both Randall (DRM Networks) and Tucker have good DRM solutions. I would highly suggest contacting both of them and see what works best for you.

Personally, I went with DRM Networks and found everything very easy to use.

Randall at DRMNetworks.com kicks ass. I've been with them since March and have nothing but good to say. The team there is always accessible and willing to help. I'm one satisfied customer and I'm sure there are many more.

Most all of us offer the ability for you to package your own content and as we are all Windows Media Service Providers, we all use WMV and WMA files. If you are referring to a Client Side software to do this, we offer three packagers that will work from your computer and another that works via FTP.

I just got back from Internext and i have to say DRM Networks didn't impress me one bit. They couldn't answer half the questions i had and im not even sure they knew what they were selling. As far as Playadrm goes were they even at the convention? Another disappointment. Seems like the only DRM solution i found with anyone who could not only answer my questions but provide me with some good insight into it was DRM-Systems. Before you go and decide on anything take a look at www.drm-systems.com . Talk about mixing business with pleasure you should have seen these guys, just ask Photogregg!

Please contact me and let me know who you spoke to at DRM Networks. Also, in Jason Tucker's defense, he was there and very available. He too runs a great product and really knows his stuff.

Dude - WHO ARE YOU? I think you are drm-systems trying to sound like another person...you did this same routine on another board with almost the same amount of posts. Why would you take shots at DRMNetworks and us when you dont even know us? As far as not even at the show, dude I was EVERYWHERE at the show and if you bothered to read the schedule, you could have come to the marketing panel to see me if nothing else.

As far as who the best is....it is who you believe the best is. I think that us at PlayaDRM, DRN Networks, Objectcube (natnet) and now Jupiter are reputable companies with history in the business. You as a consumer need to make the final call and you can test out any of us to make your own decision. I would welcome any business but if you dont go with us, I will make sure I steer you towards another reputable company. We stand behind our solution, which is why we do month to month agreements and free trails. Dont like us, leave...easy.

In closing, want to call us out, reveal yourself otherwise, shut up and let us handle our business.

Randall, look forward to seeing you in LA.

Just to clarify. Objectcube does not sell stand alone DRM systems direct to end users. We are a software shop that develop software, but then it has to be hosted and supported (24 * 7 * 365) so we partnered with Nat Net, and they are the exclusive provider of our DRM software to end users.

I am eager to find out what others like / dislike about the drm offerings.

Jay
CTO

PS: We sell VOD sofftware direct to end users.

Hey Jason, im sorry you have such an issue with the guy that has the nick DRM Systems. I myself am just a consumer looking into DRM solutions. I certainly dont appreciate nor do i care about your opinion on who you have issues with and you can believe me or not but im not the same as the DRM Systems guy! I now question whether or not you do all your business in this way. And no i didn't go to the marketing seminar because i already know how i can use DRM for marketing. I was walking the expo to actually talk with people that provided DRM because i already know the basics and it was time to see what these companies offered and how they differed. Guess what Playa was no where to be found, how was i supposed to know that you were at one of the conferences not like i could have spoken to you one on one while you were doing that anyway. So before you go making false accusations about other people and their businesses maybe you should take a step back and look at how you conduct yourself because i certainly dont want to do business with someone who goes around accusing everyone of doing something wrong. If you cant accept some criticism then maybe you shouldn't be in such a competitive business! As far as DRM Networks is concerned i was there and talked to them and i felt like they really weren't too sure what they were selling me. They told me very basic stuff nothing compelling enough to even show remote interest. That is my opinion thats not to say i was bashing them it was just my experience and why are you so concerned about what i thought about them? Maybe had you not posted a thread attacking mine and someone elses credibility i would have brought my business to you but now i question whether you can be professional enough to do business with.

Jason, if you ever want to discuss DRM with us or anything else for that matter, you can reach me via email or you can call us. Send me an icq and i will give you my direct line. As for the comments, i think they were a bit uncalled for dont' you think?

Yes we are a new DRM provider. Been in business now for 6months. However, we are not in the business of trash talking any competitor just to gain the trust of any client. That's bad for business. If someone else is making those comments, we sure as hell can't stop them.

I invite any competitor to contact us if they would like to know more about our company, product and our direction. My posts on this board are only to let new prospects know that they do have another solution to think about should they want to look into this a bit deeper. I can't recall ever making any negative comments about any of my competitors in any of my previous posts.
