This is after hours of talking on ICQ, where he just doesnt answer anymore because he is wrong.

When you have tried everything, and he is on here bashing you, and then you have trolls following his move who have absolutely 0 experience with you, it gets to the point where you hit a limit.

I was being nice, now I went to sleep, and I wake up and its still going on.

IM STILL RUNNING HIS DNS DRE, hows that for being a bad host?


I havent received payment, I've taken his abuse, YET I still keep him up!

I have absolutely no recourse in this matter. He's off here spouting all these claims, and people dont know who to believe which reflects badly on the company.

Yes, there were problems with his apache - nothing that was directly related to us though. Shit happens, it was messed up during the move.

Then apache was crashing, and not leaving any errors or logs. It wasnt every 5 minutes, read what he said again.

We then FIXED this, but he wanted to move, and at this point, I didnt argue because I wouldnt have mind to just get rid of him.


He doesnt understand how this works, he has 0 technical knowledge, so I was even patient with him and explained it, and give him a lot of slack.

He has no authority to come here and post what is what, and what should have been done.


I treat all my clients like they are my only one, go back and read the posts from the ones who posted here. You'll notice everyone who posted didnt have anything bad to say.

I tried to reach the helpdesk on icq and I tried to reach you on icq.

And even if I did not leave the contactinfo which I did. Just how many customers do you have with a server going up and down for 5 minutes every hour. The problem alone should have been sufficient. I can not understand how you receive only part of the information.

When a customer tells you that he did leave contactinfo and is 100% sure a professional would look at the system to look for bugs instead of thinking tough luck.

You left your name, and your ICQ. They arnt going to contact you on ICQ, they are in the datacenter.

You never paid and still havent, your name isnt in the billing system.

Like I told you before, leave your IP address, which you didnt do.

I *cannot* snap my fingers and have issues solved within 2 minutes, I explained to you everything we had to do to find the problem on ICQ.
If you choose not to listen to me, that is your perogative, but you need to stop this crap here on GFY.

You went to a new host, I didnt argue, you used up 50megs of bandwidth, I didnt argue, I kept your server and DNS up and still am until DNS propogation takes place, I'm not arguing.

If you fail to see how all this actually makes me a GOOD host, god help your new one.

Bugger off, we accept credit cards. You obviously have a reading deficiency.

Go back and read the reasoning as to why it wasnt accepted in THIS case.

We helped this client to the max, not once did we tell him no or not do him any favors, even when he wasnt our client anymore!!

I have about 100 alerts telling me each time the site went down. I have emails telling me that mpg owners saw problems with the galleries for two days straight. I have icq messages and screenshots of the site being either offline or disabled.
Does that put up any weight against you saying the problem is fixed?
I am not a technician and neither are you. Thats why I take a FULLY MANAGED server. I may not be a technician but I know the problem is not just fixed when somebody says it is and I still see problems.

The facts are facts, no one should be posting their opinions on it.

He's making it seem like this was an easy issue, and we didnt take care of it timely.
We took care of his problem, it was pretty complicated, and we still did it pretty fast.


I dont think anyone here is reading anything, if WE hadnt fixed his problems, he would be having the SAME issues with his new host.
I guess this doesnt count for anything.

There is a reason why we operate as we do. This is to keep the level of quality UP, when it says on the website the preferred method of support is via the helpdesk, people need to use it.

There's reasons why we dont take random ICQ messages from people we dont know. You want your server comprimised because someone went to ICQ and spouted off some information saying they were you?

Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible.

I haven't deleted all his galleries from my site coz I know shit happens and that it will be back. Now I see this war and I understand his decision to change host.

Magg, you're a hoster and as such, you're devoted to the client. You took the decision to be kind with him and start his hosting before getting the money. That is YOUR decision, don't blame him for that and recognize you had some problems. Is it THAT difficult to achieve ?

Chris runs a nice ship at Foundrynap we have a couple of 100mbit servers running very smoothly and he has good tech support on ICQ if there is any troubles. This is an OLD thread from ages ago. Foundarynap are solid and we'll be sending more business their way shortly.
