Getting your passport expedited.

Okay I was trying to get my passport taken care of because I will be going on a biz trip this next month and the Post Office told me it would be about 2 weeks...too close to cut it IMO.

I can drive down to the Federal Building in LA and get it done in 1 day if necessary...however there is a company here in Vegas that will do it in 3 days for like $300+

Just wondering if anyone has used such a service....basically you go to their office and give them everything they need and they send someone to LA to take care of it for you.

I guess it depends on how much your time is worth. I have heard those companies are ok to deal with.

I did the one day thing once. Fill out the paper work in the morning and pick it up that afternoon. I think you need to have plane tickets in hand to do it though.

I was told an itinerary would do...but if I have to make the trip down there from Vegas I'll probably take the tickets just in case.

$145 and a full day in LA not to mention the drive to and from Vegas...or $330 here in Vegas.

I'm leaning towards the $330.00

I send my passport out to get visas all the time. A company in NY handles it... No problems yet.

I never heard of a company like that. You do have to sign something though so I don't know.

I would be leary of just giving over all my info to a company that was going to get my passport for me.

You never know, if you do it, by the end of the year their will be 25 of you working illegally in Texas.

if you have only one chance to get it right due to time constraints... then... you might want to do the right thing and just go to the passport agency yourself.

I travel constantly and i can tell you that it is not worth trusting something that is mission critical to some "service" who claims they can do it better, faster or cheaper... if you can avoid it.
