I know, it's a worn out topic, but I want to know if anyone here has the guts to go up against the TGP's to get this taken care of ?? I just did a count on one of the big guy's ( won't say who cause they are all the same ) terra.es had 46 links, and our own family member Lightning had 5 What is wrong with this picture ?? My idea is a petition to the larger TGP's asking that they take the high road, and ban terra.es as a host to be used, either that or they open it up to yahoo geocities and all free hosts, since that is all tera.es is! If they don't comply then we don't post to them any longer! Any takers ????

Lets compare apples to apples. I'm talking about a service (terra.es) that is just like geocities. It's TOS forbids commercial use of porn on a site, you also have to lie/cheat in order to get an account, unless of course you live in Latin America It's just that TGP's are getting nice clean galleries out of them, so they post them. Is it right for them to do so ??? NO!!! If they are going to allow them, they should also open it up so you can hotlink your movie files off of yahoo or geocities!

I really don't give a fuck, because I make my money hosting honest webmasters, I just hate to see you go down that path. Once you make a concession like using a free host that is not really meant for adult material, it's too easy to start taking shortcuts elsewhere!

I agree. We banned them on Demonwolfe a while ago. It pissed a lot of submitters off and I get nasty emails daily bitching about it, but I think it's a matter of business ethics and someone who doesn't mind cheating a little will eventually find a way to justify cheating a lot. It's worth a try to petition the big TGP owners. Maybe you can appeal to their higher self. It probably won't work, but it's worth a try.

I mean, I really have nothing to gain to start such a petition, but I just feel that someone that will cheat to get a bannerfree account would also maybe use stolen content or worst.

At this point of time, terra.es has higher bandwidth consumption compared with adult free hosts. We are talking for many Mbits/day. The terra.es company could solve the problem in .......ta ta ta ta few minutes...but they don't do it. Don't do it=Benefit from that. I don't know how, but believe me if the loss was so important for them, they would have stopped the existence of almost any pornsite. And something more, do you think that none adult free host has contacted them all this time??????

Hardcorehosting, the only reason TGPs dont take galleries on geocities etc. is that they get deleted very quickly. If geocities were lax like terra.es I'm sure the hun would be listing those galleris too. It's pretty easy for terra.es to delete/shut down all sites on their servers with adult keywords with a simple search script. But if they arent doing it why are you complaining?? I've never used terra.es but see no reason people getting such a resource should have to pay for bandwidth. Yes, they are lying and cheating, but thats the way adult business is. CJs, dialers, avs, recurring trials, all depend on somehow tricking people into shelling out money.

Soul_Rebel I think you are missing the point. Yahoo and geocities used to turn a blind eye to porn, much like terra is now. It increases their stock value because the more people, and the more traffic they use, the better they look.

My main point is, you can only get an account by either living in one of the areas that they specify on the signup page, or cheating/lying and putting in a fake address / phone number. So where do you draw the line, a little fib to get bannerfree hosting, that I can assure you will go away sooner than later. What about borrowing content if you plan on buying it next month anyway ?? What about, God forbid, you link a thumbnail straight to the sponsor randomly throughout the day so the tgp's don't catch you ?? After all, it's just a bunch of freeloading surfers looking for free porn, why not run them thru a CJ instead. Lets see what other things can you do to make a fast buck, to cut some corners ?? That's my point!

No Soul_Rebel freehosts do not hurt my business. In fact I recommend to many of my clients that want to start using TGP's to drive traffic to their site to at least use an adult freehost until they get the hang of it, and know what it takes to convert. Let me put it a way that might make you understand. Why do people use Terra instead of say stynk.com ?? Because they can get all the clicks for themselves, and put more dollars in their pocket. Would it not also be fair to assume then that that same person would steal images because it puts more money in their pocket ?? I suspect that you might be using a lot of hosts like terra or starmedia, and you don't like me calling you a cheater, but the fact remains if you don't live in their country list, and you do have an account with them, then you are just that, a cheater! Just simple as that and I think anybody can understand it.

Of course it is not fair to assume something like that! I have used terra accounts in the past (for about 25 galleries). According to you, I have been a cheater with the rest 60% of the adult webmasters. My galleries have been listed almost everywhere. TGP owners then are also cheaters, since they listed me, right? I have used legel content and I have the permission for every single photo and I can prove it at any time. I'm sure that the same happens for most of the rest webmasters. Do I have to copy/paste a list with cheaters that redirect traffic, have illegal content etc etc to see what hosts they use?

I submited once to a larger TGP I recived a e-mail back saying that they really liked my gallery but didnt take my host If I would host them on terra they would give a regular listing.?? While tgp's do this and terra dosent close them down they will not go away so accept the fact and get on with it.

So how many people who use terra.es use ARS' bestsexhost? To me that makes more sense even if you are limited to promoting just one sponsor which has multiple sites. Sure, at the beginning bestsexhost took a while to show updates but now that they have fixed things by updating servers, they rock. I would rather use that host which I know will accept adult material & be around awhile instead of some foreign freehost which I can't read the TOS since it's in a foreign language & may close up the site tomorrow because they felt like it.
