I wouldn't like to deal with thoses complaints daily ... lol

you know what it is more then anything, it's people with mundane jobs and even more mundane lives who think they now have a small piece of power (can spam law).
so even one piece of mail to them is spam and they feel they can now get tough. funny thing is most of these people would not dare act this way in person towards the people they are saying fuck off to. most of these people wish they had the intelligence to understand, hey let me configure my spam settings or even better, let me purchase 40.00 for a spam program rather then putting myself in debt by purchasing material to rub one off to. and for those who have outlook 03, setting up the junk mail filter is so tough, they would rather waste the money on a ld phone call rather then taking 5 mins to configure this little piece of software. people will do anything, and i mean anything, to complain and grab that one second of power (or at least they think they are grabbing it). idiots. on another note, those were funny :thumbsup |
What site was the "opt-in" to? I didn't seen any signup at gangbangfest.com where these files are hosted. They could have quite easily been complaining about the company that was sending me a minimum of a dozen a day, 41 in one day at the peak (all with different from addresses and subject lines designed to bust filters). I was polite in my e-mails to the contact and it took a couple of promises and nearly a month to be removed. The contact also said theirs was an opt-in list, which was bull because it was an address I used only for a couple of usenet groups.
I also have an increase of porn spam to a couple of my webmaster addresses. I know I am not signing up for porn with them. I guess they figure if they spam me enough I will look at their programs and decide to sign up under them. I have signed up to programs that are spammed to me by affiliates and I remove the ref code when I do.:glugglug |

Yeah, I don't get it either. I've never done e-mail marketing, but if I did I can't see sending more than a couple messages to any address advertising the same thing and certainly not on the same day.
As far as the refcode thing, if a webmaster has sent me a polite letter telling me about an affiliate program that's a different thing... I only remove the refcode in the case of someone spamming me with porn sites, just wanted to clarify that so no one thinks I'm being a dick about it:glugglug |
