Nice engine, but game is not the best ... To walk in the dark all the time. Most stupid thing is that you have to switch flashlight/gun all the time.
Even I would be able to hold flashlight in the left hand and gun in the right.
In doom 3 you're walking with some us soldier which is able just to beat zombies with flashlight :Graucho

the beginning of doom III was a complete ripoff of the half life beginning , i was really dissapointed in the originality. science project gone bad, come on. i swear they even stole a few lines from the script.

also, with all the cool shit you can do with direct X, why did they go with opengl ? lets see where did i put my voodoo 3d add in card.... :helpme I bet they spent half the time rewriting all the cool shit you can do in directx 9 for opengl. now there are some cool things like the way things look thru glass / plastic and the lighting effects do kick ass.

I agree with that. I own it but never play it because it's very choppy.

And I put this computer together a little under a year ago specifically so I could play games like DoomIII when they came out!

I've got a GeForceFX 5200, AMD Athlon 2500+, 512MB DDR PC2400. Not the greatest but you'd think most people wouldn't have a system just a week old! lol

And shit .. FarCry has amazing graphics too and it runs fucking seamlessly.

I have a pretty good pc for games and it didn't run very well. I guess my hard drive might need to be cleaned up a bit, That might help
