Anyone have problems with Flycast/Engage back in 2001? - GoFuckYourself.com

In May of 2001 I agreed to purchase $3000 worth of click thru's with Flycast. Within 2 days I noticed that the stats they were giving me were not even half of what my server stats were showing. This told me there was a lot cheating going on with the sites that were showing the banners.

So I emailed them and told them I suspected there was quite a bit of cheating going on and to terminate the account early. I told them I would pay them for the clicks that I have received but that was it. So within a day they stopped the account and I didnt hear anything from them for months. Then they started sending me bills for the full amount. I once again told them I would pay them for what was delivered and asked them why they were trying to collect the full amount when it was terminated early. Didnt hear anything for 2 years, then I get served with a lawsuit last year with them trying to collect $6000. My Attorney contacted them and told them I would pay for what was delivered and that was it. Their Attorney said they would let their client know and get back to us. We never heard another word and the lawsuit was dropped because they didnt show up. We have confirmation of this from the courts. That was a year and a half ago. Havent heard another thing about it until today, now today I got served with "An Order For Interrogatories", apparently they somehow got a judgement and are trying to collect. Now I'm going to have to spend money on Attorneys to fight their bullshit.

Anyone else experience the same thing with these fuckers?

You are aware that Flycast/Engage has been Chapter 11 for over a year now? I'm settling with them in Bankruptcy court for pennies on the dollar. As far as I'm concerned, they got away without having to pay on a lot of affiliates.

Yes, I thought it had been longer than a year now. Thats the other thing about this. Here they are trying to collect more from me and yet they arent paying their affiliates what they owed them.

I wouldn't say they're paying their affiliates what is owed. They had owed about $1500 and I'm gonna see just about 10% of that. If they're still in business trying to come after you for money, then I sure as hell want more than 10%. I was under the impression they had ceased operations.
