Congrats. well done. and great price. if you ever plan on reselling it, and I doubt you should sell it for less than 6 figures, contact me: [email protected]

Our domain portfolio is 5,000+ strong. This year alone, we acquired: Planners.com, Companionship.com, OSN.com, Curious.com and Official.com... to name a few. If you're not going to develop it, check out our http://DomainIncubator.com program. If you want to see a $million+ payday, contact me and I'll show you how, in fact i'll do all the work developing and matchmaking with the right suitor.

I'm also launching http://DomainNews.com soon and would love to interview you ASAP, just basic details, etc plus it can only help build more brand awareness for such a great domain name.

and if I didn't mention it before, DAMN fine name for a very CHEAP price, especially in this domain market. How did everyone else miss this?

check out this thread of recent domain sales, and please add your domain/price to the list since everyone already knows the price. :)

and remember, before you sell, drop me a line.

It's just been brought to my attention that Lust.com may have been on a watch list a long time ago for possibly being stolen from original owners along with countless other premium domains. old news to some here, but are you sure you bought it from the real owners? In fact, some of the stolen domains were also listed at large auction sites. god, crazy world we live in. I hope you have it LOCKED, protected, etc and you trust your new registrar. And if it is still with NSI, I would... well let me just say that every domain we value has been moved out of NSI, though there isn't anything wrong with that company. there have been too many conspiracy theories related to NSI and HiJacked domains that I didn't want the drama. this is old but check it out for a little history/mystery:

and good luck. great names are always at risk.

Thats a nice buy I think.. I wonder how much type in traffic it gets?

I've protected the domain and use private registration, if I should move it, what registrar would you suggest?

Doctor Dre 08-17-2004 09:32 AM

Definitly a good fucking domain . I'm sure you can get anywhere between 50-250k for it

Anything but Verisign. They are evil.

Kinda hard to move it from verisign since they keep the registry. As for netsol I will consider moving it.

DarkJedi 08-17-2004 09:44 AM

50 great domains :glugglug

bdld 08-17-2004 09:46 AM

killer domain, shop it around for a while, see how high the bidding goes before you let go of it.

polish_aristocrat 08-17-2004 10:22 AM

Taboo - do you pay also finder fees for premium domains?
Like f.e i contact the owners of a premium domain ( and when the whois is fake it is quite a hard job ) and negotiate the price and then you buy it for the price and give me a finder fee, assuming the price i get is quite reasonable for you but out of my league.

You're asking if you can do what I'm doing. LOL. But if you refer someone to me and they are approved into my http://DomainIncubator.com program, you will get an equity stake in the business or a % if I find a suitor. I decided it's time for me to use other people's money to make money... similar to VC. In fact, you are welcome to start a business just like mine because there is plenty of room in the market for everyone to make money. just make sure you have connections ready, and an IRONCLAD contract in place with the domain owner before you shop it around because 10/10 times, the suitor will try to go over your head and buy it direct. that's why in the beginning, I chose to acquire the names for more control, but this is not always possible with VIP premium domains. email me below if you've got something in mind. typically I only get paid a high percentage if I deliver the price I promised them. good luck.

Great domain :thumbsup

Im wary of this this transaction as well. If you look at the cached Whois for lust.com, and query the admin contacts URL address - abninterbill.com - It's a fresh grab from late 2002. Quick purchase off the drop, to retrieve admin info for lust.com?

Could be.

as I told you before, we should never butt heads... cause I like the way you think. :) it is suspect, and i feel bad for the guy if he got rooked like some others. it's a scary world out there and I have ppl trying to hijack my domains often. I'm sure this happens to you as well. where did you do your research for cached info, etc? I just emailed a few people and they said beware and warn the guy, so i did... unless he is the guy that I've been warned to avoid? hmmm....

but I'm sure you agree, either way, lust.com for that price, was a "steal". :) bad pun, i know.

What are you talking about, if you look at the history before 2002 for lust.com it has the same hotmail adress as abninterbill has now. It looks ok to me, I have no reasons to doubt the seller.

NichePay_Manny 08-17-2004 02:01 PM

Good one.:thumbsup

Indeed, lust.com at that price is an amazing deal.

:1orglaugh I know, that's one of my points.

Hotmail addresses after 30-days of inactivity are released back to the public. Now, someone could have re-captured the abandon hotmail.com address when they seen it on the whois for lust.com - Took the hotmail address, retrieved the password via the "lost the password" function. From that point, registered some random domain (as a shell company for hidden whois info), and changed the adminstrative contact to an [email protected]

Listen I hope this deal is legit. But at that price, and with overseas sellers using a hotmail address? :( Anyway good luck man.

But why would they change the adress of the company in the manner they have done after 2002 if the adress was unimportant anyway? Sound far fetched to me.

yes, this is exactly what i was warned about, in fact i was told that there may be lots of "deals" on sedo that are too good to be true.

but I only wish the best of luck to the new owner of lust.com - you got a great deal, we're just making you aware of how evil the domain industry can be.

Brujah 08-17-2004 02:45 PM

Great name. :thumbsup

You could fetch a nice price for it, try National A-1 with that one.

I'm going to dig into this and see if I can find more info.

AGF 08-17-2004 02:50 PM

You should set a asking price for 20-30K$ for this domain

be careful how far you dig... you might not like what you find. i truly wish you the best of luck. if you find that it's legit, and want a 7-figure payday for it, contact me before you dump it for less.

good luck. keep us posted. and email me anytime.
