I walked around alot (just to see how people were doing) and everyone I saw upstairs seemed to be having a blast . I was there till 5am and I really dont think it was that bad of a party . My only suggestion is if your sponsor of party try and get to the venue before it opens so your all set up in your own area . Believe me me and Lisa were putting out fires all night with the bouncers etc...Wasnt an easy night but My guests were happy in the end and thats all that mattered to me .

You seem to be downplaying the whole thing to me.

YOUR guests where happy in the end? Thats all that mattered? How about your future business partners? Putting your name on something like that and then then telling us that "your" guests were happy in the end, kind of sounds shitty. You sponsored it, I showed up, I was your guest, and I was disgusted.

I paid for a plane ticket to internext.

I paid for the rooms.

I went to your event, and got treated like shit, and it ruined my night.

No big deal. Ill get over it. Worse things have happened in life. LOL!!

p1mpdogg 08-15-2004 11:23 PM

kinda lame how a few ppl are trying to downplay it. am i the only sponsor that is sticking up for myself? i think datinggold is a bit pissed aswell.

they say 6 sponsors then 9.. imediately devaluing the sponsorship.. ok fine they say they will make it up to us...

bigger table, limos, more tickets, vip passes blah blah blah blah. NOTHING todo with the fucking club.

it was THIER responsibility to come through with those things.

when someone gives me thier word, i expect them to follow through with it.

I'd be bitching too. Shit, I may have been in jail after telling the bouncers and / or club owners where they can stick their shit ass attitude as well. :winkwink:

Miss Shortcake 08-15-2004 11:27 PM

The bouncers were assholes and a poor excuse for security. The local fuckers were extremely aggressive and pushed and trampled me to get in. Rude Motherfuckers.

I agree that it should of been an exclusive event for Internext only and not open to the public.

After an hour of dancing I left the club fearing for my safety. It was so fucking packed, but good music.

Realwild-Terry 08-15-2004 11:36 PM

I got 50 passes so what im saying is those were the people I invited and made sure they got in . I would go as far as going out to the busses when they called me and bring them in myself . If I gave you a pass you wouldnt of had a prob . Sorry you had a shitty night . But like I stated I know mansion and I knew it would turn out that way .

TheGoldenChild 08-15-2004 11:41 PM

Again-

I have to wonder at those of you who think yuo can walk into any bar in the world without an ID-
IT DOESN'T HAPPEN

There are liquor laws in every state and as far as I can recall- whether you have a VIP pass or not if you are not 21 you do not get in, and you do not drink....

I have worked in the nightclub business, as well as worked with major recording acts and in every city and every venue I would see the same thing...hillbilly's who don't have a clue that their friend Billy Bob won't be at the door to let you and your drinkin' pals in...

NO ID is NO ID- it's not the sponsors fault, nor the club's fault...it's the LAW.

irishfury 08-15-2004 11:42 PM

If I had V.i.p and I'm in my tube sox and boxers I would expect to get in. Once I got to the V.i.p section and they expect 500 dollars worth of wine for me to stay there I would have looked at them nuts and left. If I sponsored a event and my name was attached to something as this I would be upset also.

Dude, I am 51 and I have to have ID before going into any bar, it is the law. You can't hold that against them for your g/f being a ditz. Who goes to a club with no ID. . . I am surprised you got in at all.

You knew mansion...and knew it would turn out that way, and still put your name on it?

Was that you up on stage, introducing socialburn?

I was surprised to see them there, which was the highlight for me....

let me rephrase....

the night sucked balls... (having your balls sucked is usually a good thing)

It was the least suckiest part of the evening.

Still think your downplaying the whole thing. I think, if I was to put my name on it, I would make sure that everyone had a good time, not just my buddies and the people i gave my cellphone number to. It was the first time I had heard of real wild girls. I can only imagine the first impression you left on other potential clients.

Socailburn was cool though.

supermack 08-16-2004 12:20 AM

My hats off to the people who threw the 13 kegger.

I went to that party, and the people who set it up, actually made an effort to walk around and get to know the people who came to their shindig.

Sorry about the girls you hired for your booth to poor beer though. They were nice to the show attendees, but seemed like they had somekind of attitude towards the guys that were paying them to be there.

The silvercash bikini contest is always a winner!!

BELLY FLOP CONTEST WAS GOOD TIMES!!!

Hope to see the belly flop contest again next year!!!

Fukeneh 08-16-2004 12:35 AM

i too was removed from the club. event wasnt that big of a let down. if i was a sponsor i would be upset. i saw nothing there for the sponsors.

Realwild-Terry 08-16-2004 12:37 AM

Im glad you liked social Burn . RWG has been around for awhile we are more Mainstream though . I sposered the party because RWG is about a series called backstage pass , that we do with rockers so it made sense for us . I would of loved to help accomodate everyone , but that wasnt my job . I was there basically for the backtage shit .

I brought 50 people in and had to make them feel comfortable . + Take care of both bands.

So Im glad the highlight of your night was social burn at least I stepped up to the plate and brought them in.
Im trying to get out of the Web, and didnt even go to the show .
And yes that was me on stage . I left When AAF started playing and started helping people out of the line and take them over to crobar instead . So I think all together I did my job .

Donnie Gangsta 08-16-2004 03:01 AM

It was the worst Internext event ever....

First, sure Miami might try the snob/exclusive approach but fuck most webmasters don't look too cool ya know :)

And second, people showed VIP passes and the bouncers told them to fuck off... I saw this one guy push Lensman back and say 'I told you once and won't tell you again...' when he tried to get in. He even showed him his VIP pass. The guy didn't care. They were denying people who were wearing NICE clothes just because they didn't have girls with them..

I got in right away but they wouldn't let anyone in my party in..

Third, it was so crowded with locals it was ridiculous. The bouncers were complete assholes on the inside and outside. If anyone takes up for this venue or this party they are fucking stupid. It was absolutely pathetic.

If I were a sponsor I swear I would sue it was so bad...

TheMob 08-16-2004 03:10 AM

hmm, that sucks. it's probably nobody's mistake, just a chain of stupid things.

Am I glad I decided to drive home at 12:30 instead of heading to the Mansion. I had VIP passes too (thanks Hotmovies and CE) but it sounds like they were worthless.

How many random fucks I wonder were partaking of all of the goodies meant for affiliates?

I remember the lightspeed suite parties in phoenix and I would say at least 50% of the people there (towards midway thru) had nothing to do with the business.

This is the promoter's party . If he don't know how to take agreements with the club owner and if he cannot run the place, it's not the club's fault alone

Well, I've been screwed by venues that tell you what you want to hear before the party starts, then they a private VIP roped off for their people, when their people weren't allowed in the club let alone taking up VIP space and offending my VIP's when they'd flash their pass and get turned down. It happened in South Beach at the Shadow Lounge. Great Players Ball (1999), huge crowd for the venue, 90% mostly webmasters, some local chicks imported which I asked for, and that extra 50 guests that were friends of the owner in a private section.

Other venues have security looking for their tips from regular clients, they'll take the money and deal with any complaints from the promoters, they don't care, they want money. Miami is a tough place to get a venue 100% yours on a Saturday night. They'd charge thousands and thousands for that because they'd have to give up that guaranteed money. So the way parties get screwed is when you let them have ANY outsiders. I'm sure for a bar like that it would cost a guaranteed $50k to $100k to get it 100% exclusive for your own guests.

Anyway, I've got to cut Eroticafest some slack in that respects, you never really know the inner dealings that take place in advance. I've had my shit together with the management and security teams, even hired my own security staff to over see theirs and had problems still (C2K Vegas). Vegas and Miami are 2 of the hardest cities to get an exclusive deal on a venue during the weekend.

I've heard from a few people they had a blast, so I'm sure maybe we're just hearing the bad before the good, it's early still. Did 5% of the webmasters get turned down? Or 80%? It's too early to get a measure yet. Most reasons sound like it's due to dressing in shorts and stuff.

When one of the sponsors get turned off ... that's a real fucking problem

Lens obviously you are not too familiar but look ...

when you get into a club and make a party, you GOTTA make a deal to have CONTROL over things .

They didn't ... they fucked up big time . That happened to EVERYBODY in the business and that's a mistake they made, their OWN.

You gotta make sure you can get @ the door, pick some people by hand and let them inside .

You cannot let the bouncers decide of who is getting in and who's not .

Its the clubs Fuck up . You cant mix the Miami Crowd with Webmasters on a saturday Night . I was trying my hardest to get people in through the back door . Whoever had my cell # I got in . I got to the venue at Like 6pm to Help with the Setup.
The whole Idea at the Door is you can get in if you have 2 girls with you. They fuck with the ratio. Also we were supposed to film the event but the club wouldnt allow it . I go to mansion every saturday and it is Never busy as it was . Since they cought me sneaking in webmasters at the back door and got pissed at me . I went went to the front of the Line and took like 20 peeps into crobar instead . I totally Missed alient Ant farm cause I took care of them Friday night and were total dicks to me . If anyone heard Social Burn they Fucking rocked !

I dont blame Lisa at all . I was with her the whole way on trying to get this thing setup correctly and mansion is an awsome venue .

I blame the promo guy for mansion he thinks he is MR Miami.

God it's NOT the club's fuckup . They GOTTA have the control over the club / bouncers ... how hard is it to understand ?

That's a fucking newbie mistake they made ... that happened to everybody that started in this business (I'm dure d-money and some other big time promoters had the same problems)

I had a table right on the floor and had drink tickets a few bottles of vodka waiting for us and we were rockin out . I just dont see why they didnt honor the passes though . I know a few of the security there which helps of course .

Who are they ? I can get good artists for like 6-15k arround here ... I can get Joe Budden performing for 8k $ ... The guy had the #1 "Pump it up" .

great music..

They won't make the same mistake again. I'd be confident they'll AT LEAST have control of the monkey ass door guy next time around. The sad thing is that it seems like a safe assumption that a big night club would be professionally run.

Biggest ones are actually the hardest to run . Too many people trying to hustle .

The attitude of the bouncers was very normal for a big club . They GOTTA be assholes .

The error was to let the dogs do what they wanted when they should have been controlled
