You seem to be downplaying the whole thing to me. YOUR guests where happy in the end? Thats all that mattered? How about your future business partners? Putting your name on something like that and then then telling us that "your" guests were happy in the end, kind of sounds shitty. You sponsored it, I showed up, I was your guest, and I was disgusted. I paid for a plane ticket to internext. I paid for the rooms. I went to your event, and got treated like shit, and it ruined my night. No big deal. Ill get over it. Worse things have happened in life. LOL!! |
kinda lame how a few ppl are trying to downplay it. am i the only sponsor that is sticking up for myself? i think datinggold is a bit pissed aswell.
they say 6 sponsors then 9.. imediately devaluing the sponsorship.. ok fine they say they will make it up to us... bigger table, limos, more tickets, vip passes blah blah blah blah. NOTHING todo with the fucking club. it was THIER responsibility to come through with those things. when someone gives me thier word, i expect them to follow through with it. |

The bouncers were assholes and a poor excuse for security. The local fuckers were extremely aggressive and pushed and trampled me to get in. Rude Motherfuckers.
I agree that it should of been an exclusive event for Internext only and not open to the public. After an hour of dancing I left the club fearing for my safety. It was so fucking packed, but good music. |

Everyone I was with left for the same reason. I had visions of nightclub stampede going through my head. |

I got 50 passes so what im saying is those were the people I invited and made sure they got in . I would go as far as going out to the busses when they called me and bring them in myself . If I gave you a pass you wouldnt of had a prob . Sorry you had a shitty night . But like I stated I know mansion and I knew it would turn out that way .
|
Again-
I have to wonder at those of you who think yuo can walk into any bar in the world without an ID- IT DOESN'T HAPPEN There are liquor laws in every state and as far as I can recall- whether you have a VIP pass or not if you are not 21 you do not get in, and you do not drink.... I have worked in the nightclub business, as well as worked with major recording acts and in every city and every venue I would see the same thing...hillbilly's who don't have a clue that their friend Billy Bob won't be at the door to let you and your drinkin' pals in... NO ID is NO ID- it's not the sponsors fault, nor the club's fault...it's the LAW. |
If I had V.i.p and I'm in my tube sox and boxers I would expect to get in. Once I got to the V.i.p section and they expect 500 dollars worth of wine for me to stay there I would have looked at them nuts and left. If I sponsored a event and my name was attached to something as this I would be upset also.

You knew mansion...and knew it would turn out that way, and still put your name on it? Was that you up on stage, introducing socialburn? I was surprised to see them there, which was the highlight for me.... let me rephrase.... the night sucked balls... (having your balls sucked is usually a good thing) It was the least suckiest part of the evening. Still think your downplaying the whole thing. I think, if I was to put my name on it, I would make sure that everyone had a good time, not just my buddies and the people i gave my cellphone number to. It was the first time I had heard of real wild girls. I can only imagine the first impression you left on other potential clients. Socailburn was cool though. |
My hats off to the people who threw the 13 kegger.
I went to that party, and the people who set it up, actually made an effort to walk around and get to know the people who came to their shindig. Sorry about the girls you hired for your booth to poor beer though. They were nice to the show attendees, but seemed like they had somekind of attitude towards the guys that were paying them to be there. The silvercash bikini contest is always a winner!! BELLY FLOP CONTEST WAS GOOD TIMES!!! Hope to see the belly flop contest again next year!!! |
i too was removed from the club. event wasnt that big of a let down. if i was a sponsor i would be upset. i saw nothing there for the sponsors.
|
Im glad you liked social Burn . RWG has been around for awhile we are more Mainstream though . I sposered the party because RWG is about a series called backstage pass , that we do with rockers so it made sense for us . I would of loved to help accomodate everyone , but that wasnt my job . I was there basically for the backtage shit .
I brought 50 people in and had to make them feel comfortable . + Take care of both bands. So Im glad the highlight of your night was social burn at least I stepped up to the plate and brought them in. Im trying to get out of the Web, and didnt even go to the show . And yes that was me on stage . I left When AAF started playing and started helping people out of the line and take them over to crobar instead . So I think all together I did my job . |
It was the worst Internext event ever....
First, sure Miami might try the snob/exclusive approach but fuck most webmasters don't look too cool ya know :) And second, people showed VIP passes and the bouncers told them to fuck off... I saw this one guy push Lensman back and say 'I told you once and won't tell you again...' when he tried to get in. He even showed him his VIP pass. The guy didn't care. They were denying people who were wearing NICE clothes just because they didn't have girls with them.. I got in right away but they wouldn't let anyone in my party in.. Third, it was so crowded with locals it was ridiculous. The bouncers were complete assholes on the inside and outside. If anyone takes up for this venue or this party they are fucking stupid. It was absolutely pathetic. If I were a sponsor I swear I would sue it was so bad... |
hmm, that sucks. it's probably nobody's mistake, just a chain of stupid things.

Am I glad I decided to drive home at 12:30 instead of heading to the Mansion. I had VIP passes too (thanks Hotmovies and CE) but it sounds like they were worthless.

when you get into a club and make a party, you GOTTA make a deal to have CONTROL over things . They didn't ... they fucked up big time . That happened to EVERYBODY in the business and that's a mistake they made, their OWN. You gotta make sure you can get @ the door, pick some people by hand and let them inside . You cannot let the bouncers decide of who is getting in and who's not . |
Quote:
That's a fucking newbie mistake they made ... that happened to everybody that started in this business (I'm dure d-money and some other big time promoters had the same problems) |
still no response from the xbiz camp?

But the point is : The club is SUPPOSED to make money . |

got in with little effort... but that seems to be normal when you are dealing with popular night spots and trying to get 20 of your closest friends in... good to have someone that is a VIP in South Beach..
i sat on the couch for most of the night with bottle service.. and had a great time. great music.. but like it has been said before, to many locals trippin over the bottle service, like 10 webmasters, and no boobs.. :Graucho sorry that the peeps couldn't get in.. seriously, if it was "our" event.. who cares on what we were wearing.. ya know? (by the way if you're wondering, i was looking sexy... the most metrosexual I have been in at lease a year.. but not silky sexy like Lens & Kevin) :winkwink: oh.... and 150 bitches :) |

I never thought that would happen cauz of all the respect our bizz got arround here . But it happened with our BIGGEST client ... the new multi-million dollar club arround here fucked us up big time . Anyways shit happens ... but if you try too big at the first time, more shit then usual will happen . In every event there are a shitload of last minute spending and problems . But an experienced promoter can avoid a lot of them . |

They won't make the same mistake again. I'd be confident they'll AT LEAST have control of the monkey ass door guy next time around. The sad thing is that it seems like a safe assumption that a big night club would be professionally run. |
Quote:
The attitude of the bouncers was very normal for a big club . They GOTTA be assholes . The error was to let the dogs do what they wanted when they should have been controlled |

damn that sounds like a raw deal. Id be wanting some cash in my hand.
