Euro webmasters, suggest Euro pop tracks for download

I'm getting tired of listening to the same stuff on the radio over and over again and I'm looking to download some "new" music..

I especially love Euro pop, I think Europeans produce better pop/dance music than Americans... I don't mind if the music is in a foreign language that I don't understand, as long as I like the beat and vocals. I have been listening to some tracks these days in foreign languages that I don't understand but still like such as

Beth-Dime (Spanish techno song - really like this one)
O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei
Girls Aloud - The Show
Girls Aloud - Jump for my love
Kate Ryan - Desenchantee

These are the type of songs I like...

But I want to download some English songs as well. I'm basically looking for "euro-pop" or "euro-dance" like the above artists, or Eurovision type songs, or dance songs like that "Dime" song or , I really like that one... Nothing too hardcore, no metal, no rap or r&b... Just pure Euro pop...

Any good Euro pop songs out there? I bet there is a lot but I just don't know which ones since they don't play them here in America...

Songs should have vocals and a strong hook, NO techno dance with just music and beats, I'm vocally driven, so it's gotta have that... No rave either...

Pls make suggestions below..

If you like pop, you'll probably like Atomic Kitten, Blue, Rachel Stevens, Westlife, Jamelia, etc.

Also look here for the current top 40 singles chart, there are 30 second samples for each song:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/top40/

Damn, you're brave...admitting to hear such music needs a real spine.

Even if I would listen to such songs, I wouldn't tell this anybody...

That's def. the biggest crap you can hear.

Yea, it may be embarassing, but I don't care... lol I am going to drive around blasting the O-Zone boys in my car and I don't care who hears...

I also like Ruslana, that crazy "Wild Dances" song that won Eurovision... If I blast that while driving people will *really* think I'm nuts... but I don't care if they do

I'm looking to download even MORE embarassing music to add to my huge collection already...

My words. Tingles my spine just thinking that people actually listen to that stuff, and buy their music.. after all that's what makes up the charts.

Scary!

Cheesy music is a sinful treat, it's something you know is "bad" or perhaps not the most well-composed and arranged song, but it can be so catchy that it just gets ahold of you!

It's like eating a BigMac, you know it's bad for you but once in awhile as a special treat it can be sooooo goooood...

Check out this site that has a good list of what's being played at the German clubs right now. And Germany is without doubt the leading country when it comes to this kind of music.

I would like to make a list of some of my personal favorites, but I recently lost 160 gb data including all of my music, so I will just mention a few of my all time favorites that I remember:

DJ shog - Another world
Alice Deejay - Will I ever
Alice Deejay - Back in my life
ATB - The summer
ATC - Around the world
ATC - My heart beats like a drum
DJ Encore - I see right through to you
Eiffel 65 - Blue
Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujours (video version)
J&R Project - Keep It Up
Lady Violet - Inside To Outside
Lasgo - Something
Lasgo - Blue
Mauro Picotto - Komodo
Daniel Bedingfield - If you're not the one
Paola e Chiara - Vamos a bailar
Rollergirl - Dear Jessie
Rollergirl - Superstar
Safri Duo - Played Alive
The Source ft. Candy staton - You've got the love
Sonique - Feels So Good
Sonique - Sky
Roger Sanchez - Another chance
Lexy & K Paul - Dancing
LMC vs. U2 - Take me to the clouds above
Sylver - Turn the tide
Sylver - Forgiven

Turned out to be quite a few songs anyway
Let me know if you would like more...

So far the one I like most is Sonique-Sky... I like songs that have vocals like this one, and not just music with no vocals... I'm still downloading some of the other stuff...

Are you a dj btw? I think I downloaded some stuff from one of your playlists that you posted a long time ago that included Robin
Beck- For The Very First Time.... I like old 80's Euro stuff like that too... But yea, the Sonique Sky song is good...

There may be some slight differences between American and English, but calling English a "foreign language you don't understand" seems a bit much

I was giving examples of songs I liked.... I just phrased it wrong grammatically; I meant that I don't mind if the songs are not in English, but the other two tracks were examples of English songs I liked. Besides, there is no such language as "American"... We speak English over here...

I also like the Candy Staton song... that one is good...

Thanks, I am glad you like some of the music. I will search my mind for more songs like Sonique and the other stuff you mentioned that you like.

No I am not a DJ, but I am very interested in music and often exchange music with one of my friends who is also into the same kind of Euro pop/dance as me.

Yeah I am very much into 80's music as well... I don't think there is any logical connection, but 80's pop, euro pop/dance from 1990 to current, that's me

It's great to see an American being open to other kinds of music than hip hop and the other stuff that seems to dominate the US

It would be great if you could post some more tracks later that have vocals like Sonique, Candy Staton and that U2 mix is really good too!

I like a lot of Euro pop because I was born in the Netherlands and when I was a kid I grew up listening/watching Kylie Minogue,
Samantha Fox and other such 80's pop artists.

I have always liked Euro pop and listened to Euro stuff... also perhaps because I'm asian and for some reason a lot asians here used to be really into the Euro and New Wave stuff a few years ago. I'll check this thread when I wake up, because it's 6am and I
have to go to sleep now... lol

I also used to talk to this guy many many years ago who is a dj (Dj Epic) and he usd to always play Euro songs that he was mixing and that got me into it more....

Thanks Jeppe for taking the time to compile such a comprehensive list! I'm supposed to go to sleep but I wanted to download just a few more tracks first.

So far I really like Angels Crying , Fragma Everytime and Lady Violet.. That list will keep me busy for awhile... Angels Crying is really good. Without asking here on GFY, these are songs I otherwise would not be able to get, because I don't know the titles, plus most are not listed in current Top 40 charts so it would be difficult to find them.

You might like Dj Epic's stuff, it sounds very very very much like the tracks you listed and it's all over Kazaa or any P2P proggie. Also has some freestyle music, don't know if you like that, but lots of Euro dance too...

No problem, I am only happy to help a fellow euro pop enthusiast
Just let me know if I can help again...

I am definitely going to download some of DJ Epic's stuff based on your description

Sleep well once you do go to sleep then
