Just purchased a 19th floor 1400 sq foot apartment for 195g earlier this year. Im not stupid my friend... obviously i know property only goes up in value.

Ya I managed to bargain the property I bought from $210g asking price to $195 with a nice down-payment.

The truth is that money talks... If half the car payment is there on the spot, its easy to convince them to take of the 11-12% (basically I'm trying to save the taxes, which are 14.5%, and I know there is also a luxury tax, but not sure how much that is)

And obviously I'm getting my pops in there cause hes a hardcore barginer and he knows what the fuck is up.

THe dealership doesn't give a shit how much money you put down, they get 100% of their money from the finance company once you sign the papers, so putting $50k down as a "bargaining chip" is a good waste of money...

Only person who is going to know you spent $100k is you and the few car fanatics.

Example: most people don't know the price difference between a 3 series BMW and a 7 series. The look similiar from a glance. But the difference in prices is immense. 35k to near 100k. I see 100 silver mercedes every day and I don't give them a second look.

I think if you are going to spend 100k on a car it should be instantly obvious you are ballin or at least trying to look like it =P

I'm years younger than 'Polak', make great money myself. Six figures annually, and rarely do I buy anything for myself. All my money, from $10,000 to $100,000 purchases - Go towards domains and website acquisitions. Both of which are business related, thus I do not even consider that splurging. In July, I spent $50,000+ on domains alone, yet I'll second guess a Walmart purchases, or option for the non-name brand.

Young people cannot be generalized as materialistic. Only individuals can. I come from NJ projects, and I value keeping my head afloat and away from that type of area. Rather than overcompensating my self worth around others. I have nothing to prove. My only job is to provide a healthy living and work enviornment for myself.
