Young people cannot be generalized as materialistic. Only individuals can. I come from NJ projects, and I value keeping my head afloat and away from that type of area. Rather than overcompensating my self worth around others. I have nothing to prove. My only job is to provide a healthy living and work enviornment for myself.

Of course, young people as a whole cannot be generalized with a specific characteristic. No need to get tumultuous.
