So, how many haven't seen Fahrenheit 9/11 yet?

Is it because you just refuse to believe that there could be anything wrong with what's happening?

Is it because you're afraid that maybe... just maybe... you might be convinced in some small way that things aren't quite as you believe they are?

Is it because you don't care about anything that's happening in the world anyway?

Why haven't you watched it yet?

Haven't seen it ... Won't see it.

I hate Michael Moore, and I don't care what he has to say. He won't see a dime of my money.

On the same hand, if Rush Limbaugh made a movie, I wouldn't watch that either.

Good to be equal on both fronts, but even Moore said once "I want people to download the film."

You don't have to give him a dime to see it... but, I know you still won't.

I honestly don't care what he says. I don't give him any creditibility, and I don't think he knows how to be objective at all.

So you're right .. I won't even download it.

Why would I spend $8 to see what Mr Moore has to say when he lies just as bad as everyone else?

Need Proof?

How about this:

source: http://breakingnews.iol.ie/entertain...24&p=yyz96353x

Moore sued for 'doctoring newspaper'

03/08/2004 - 19:02:14

Oscar-winning director Michael Moore is being sued by a furious American newspaper for allegedly "doctoring" the paper's front page for his controversial documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.

A scene in the movie shows newspaper headlines relating to the legally contested 2000 American presidential election and includes a shot of Bloomington, Illinois newspaper The Pantagraph with a headline reading 'Latest Florida recount shows (Al) Gore won election' - which was not actually used on the first page.

Instead the headline was found in much smaller type above a letter to the editor, which the paper says reflects "only the opinions of the letter writer".

The Pantagraph has now sent Moore and his production company Lions Gate Entertainment Corp a letter asking him to apologise for using the manipulated cover page and are seeking $1m (?839,000) in compensatory damages.

The paper says: "If Moore wants to 'edit' The Pantagraph, he should apply for a copy-editing job."

someone making a movie about all the "lies" someone else told should probably avoid living in a glass house.

I figured as much... but, let's look at it this way...

Wouldn't you say that the best way to be informed about something, is to hear all sides, and form your own opinion?

hense... if Rush puts out a film, and Moore does, and Bush and Kerry and even 12clicks.... wouldn't it be prudent to see them all, and do your own research as well.... and form a solid and well informed opinion based on all information sources?

What's the use of ignoring someone because you personally think someone's an idiot?

I know quite a few people who I think are idiots, but sometimes even they can take a piece of paper, read it to me and sounds like they know what they're talking about.

But this is all Michael Moore's oppinion on things .. And I don't trust him or his oppinions. There's no facts, in my mind, in any of his movies that would be valuable to any sort of research I might want to do.

Much in the same way as I would not learn about WWII and German politics from a Nazi Propaganda film. Does that make sense to you?

lol, michael moores opinion of the events in the film isn't what you should think of as important
The idea of seeing it is to add to some facts that the normal news will never show.

Such as how bush had to divert his motorcade for his own inauguration because the cars were being pelted by eggs! LOL did you even know about that 4 years after the fact?

Or how about his new CIA boss saying on camera that he was NOT QUALIFIED to be in the CIA these days??

Did you know that the name blacked out on bushes absentee service record was a man who also worked for oil companies and now manages money for a saudi company? Why did the white house black out the name? I'm just asking.

LOL forget the film maker. Try using your own head to form an opinion or two

That's what I'm saying... film maker aside.. it's worth seeing.

I don't trust half of what I see on Fox or CNN either... doesn't mean I won't check it out, and make my own opinion on what they present me.

Personally, I'm not entirely sure how you can hate someone's opinions if you haven't even seen what their "opinions" are yet.

I've seen, quite unfortunetly, two of his previous "doucmentaries".

The point you're missing, is I don't believe he is presenting the facts. I think Michael Moore, like Rush Limbaugh, twists "facts" around to suit his agenda.

Yes, but... if you were to watch a presentation from both of them on a similar item... wouldn't you be more capable of putting together a more viable set of facts on that item using information from both?

Where as not listening at all leaves you completely clueless about that item, quite possibly not even knowing that item exists at all.

hehe, your mixed up.. think about it. A fact is a fact. Period. You cant twist it. You can form an opinion about it though.

I could argue that 1+1 does not equal 2 in my opinion.
When in nature does the joining of 1 animal with a second animal not equal a total of 3? Momma, Poppa and Baby. lol.

But I'm betting you'll not be swayed because you know the fact for yourself.

And some things speak for themselves. Look at the interview portion with Goss. Bushes appointed CIA director. He himself (himself mind you!) says with his own voice that he is not qualified to be in the CIA anymore. Theres no twist to it. Besides which, nobody even knew back then that Bush would now appoint him to direct the agency! LOL.

No .. I see it more like not needing to read the Snoopy comics in the Vancouver Sun and still being able to have a good grasp on the paper its' self.

I've closely followed the 9-11 commission and their reports. I've seen a few documentaries that make a much better case for the Left than Michael Moore ever will (in my mind).

Michael Moore is taking some research, and then presenting it the way he wants us to see it .. I just go straight to source and skip the shifty salesman.

I haven't seen it, nor do I want to.

I don't need anyone telling me what to think or how or why to think it.

Everything I've seen about the film, and about Moore, suggests to me that we should lock him and all the other left wing nutjobs up in the first shuttle going to mars and launch it immediately (And yes, that includes the clintons and kerry, and hell, throw al franken in there too).

I don't understand how people can be so dead set against a person that they're willing to do anything to make sure he doesn't succeede.

I voted for bush in 2000 and I'm voting for him in 2004. No leftist movie is going to change my mind.

And somewhere near half the popular vote will be with you.

If you had no source of information other than GFY .. You'd expect Kerry to win with 90%+. I don't think GFY is a very good measure of the American voting public.

Imagine a bunch of pornographers being Liberal leftists? Absurd!

That was going through my mind as well when I was typing.

Especially since the left wing wants to move to a more Marxist existance (from each according to his ability to each according to his need... which means that SleazyDream and Juicy can keep doing all the work, and I can get all the money!!)

Hey, Wait... that sounds like a good idea!!

You are aking alot of people who are afraid to think too much.
Its much easier just watching fox when they get home from work.
At that point they dont need to think for themselves anymore they just need to sit back and be told what to think and how to be influenced.
Beleive it or not, Modern day propaganda WORKS!

Yeah, the fact that Moore might have made a prop for his movie makes all those videos of George W. Bush fabrications too.

I haven't and don't plan on it. Why? Nothing I can do about it. Not only that but Moore is COMPLETELY anti-bush, and we all know from Columbine that he likes to twist the actual truth to his benefit.

So while I agree Bush is an assclown- I already know this and don't need to see one crazy fat guy's opinion on it.

I admit that I haven't seen it, and I admit the reason is because I'm not interested in politics that much... I am more of a Dem than a Republican, but I'm not interested enough in politics to actually see a movie about it.. Never watch Cnn or political stuff on tv either, so why would I go watch it in a theater? I don't like to watch documentaries, I'd rather watch mindless entertainment...
I want to be entertained and watch action movies, or comedies...
I really hate politics, I think it is boring and it puts me to sleep... I know it's important, but I still can't get into it.... sorry....

However, I have seen Starskey and Hutch and Spiderman...

I haven't seen it and am not particularly interested in seeing it. If anything, I'll catch it when it comes out on video. Moore used to be a great filmmaker but he is way out of his league when trying to analyze political machinations on this scale. As a result his films end up being pretty dry and when his anlysis is dead on it's usually just pointing out something very rudimentary. I don't think there is a single leftist theoritician that takes him seriously and I can think of a number of films done in the past few years that were not only more revolutionary but also were much more sophisticated in their anaylsis. But of course in a nation that worships Britney Spears it is no surprise that very few people went to see them.
