I really could care less if this sold on Ebay but if anybody was stupid enough to buy it for $550, then I could use $500 for the 6800 Ultra, and the $50 for Doom 3 and I'd break even.

Well if I really wanted to sell something I wouldn't jack up the price like that. I'm 99% sure nobody would pay $550 for an X800 Pro anyway but I was bored and figure'd I'd put it up on Ebay to see what happens. If I actually wanted to sell something I'd put it up for auction starting at 1 cent and maybe set a buy it now price at or slightly below the retail price. I was just thinking. What I'm doing is viewed as somethin fucked up but it is happening all around us. Here are some examples:
Movie theaters charge INSANE prices for popcorn, soda, candy etc. You can buy a whole box of popcorn like 10 packs for like $5, but at a theater its like $3.75 for a large popcorn and about $2.75 for a small. A large soda is like $4 and you can get a 24 case of pepsi for like $8.
A pack of cigs at the local club in my area (Top Dog) is $7!! A hot dog at the Football Stadium is like $3.
A HUGE example is getting drunk at a bar/club!! A fucking shot is like $6 and you can buy a whole bottle of vodka at a liqour store for $11 and that has more that enough shots to get like 3 people reasonably drunk. A beer at a club (unless they have $1 drinks) is like $3, when I can buy a 12 pack of Natural Ice beer for $6.
Basically I'm trying to make a profit on what I'm selling, and I am well aware that it is $150 more than the retail price, but like people who go to the movie, bars, clubs, and football games are being jacked up the ass for products and they just deal with it!!
