Well ok, its not a total buggy pile of shit but it is buggy. Reports wrong sales plays sale sounds when there isnt one, doesnt sometimes when there is. Etc, etc.. Certainly not configurable enough and you wait weeks for updates.

Its great because theres no competition, well cept Revstats. They update daily if stuff breaks . Nice and fast for that. but they have no standalone.. Yet..

Anyway if I wrote one I can think of alot of improvements. Maybe I will...

But hey Im just an asshole anyway dont mind me..

I think one competitor is growing. It's called MyStatsArea. In spite of JB told many times that it's owner is thief I know this guy and he is honest.
Now MSA offers free trial, you can see my sig...

I never said you're an asshole. I'd just like to know some details when somebody says StatsRemote is a buggy pile of shit :)

Firstly, there's no software without any bugs. When StatsRemote reports wrong sales it's most of the times because programs changed their stats and we usually fix it for the next update. There might be other reasons as well, e.g. temporary database problems on the sponsors' end (happens daily when you support thousands of programs).

And we don't wait many weeks for updates, we release updates bi-weekly. RevStats is a web-based service which means they just have to change the routine for one program and it automatically works for all their members as nobody has to download any updates.

StatsRemote, on the other hand, is a desktop application. We had weekly updates before but there were too many problems because we couldn't test everything properly. That's why we switched to bi-weekly updates.

You know this guy and he is honest? Do honest people steal other people's hard work and deny it even when all the proof is right in front of them? Do honest people use false whois info and lose their domain because of that? Do honest people get their Verotel account suspended because of copyright infringement? Do honest people use the little yellow guy from AOL for their logo? etc...

Remote-stats was fault but the software was absolutely his hard work!!! He has been unexperienced and rash. That's why he has used some your texts on his web, name similar to your's and fake whois data.
BUT THE SOFTWARE HAS BEEN ONLY HIS HARD WORK!!! All the code!

NOW:
After months of programming and testing wakan owns a good software which has only one common feature. It is software for checking stats. And it's a good software...

So, being unexperienced justifies stealing MOST (not just some) text from our website, the layout, colors and functionality of our software, etc. What he did was not just a mistake. It was a very serious issue.

And why does somebody from the Czech Republic use a non-existing name and address in Dominican Republic for his whois. Because he's a stealing scumback that has something to hide. Too bad for him that we found out his real name and address.

As quite a few big programs changed their stats this week we just released an update. I hope everything works correctly. We couldn't do our usual testing as the release was made much earlier than we planned.
