How long does it take for my shared hosting account to be setup?

Shared hosting accounts are setup the same business day. After you sign up you will receive your welcome email. Once you receive the welcome email please forward it to support with a list of domains, POP accounts, databases and/or any other requests you might have for your initial setup. Once we receive that information we will setup your account and forward you a release letter.

What type of control comes with my shared hosting account? Will I receive SSH access?

Shared hosting accounts are just that. You share a server with other customers and we control/maintain the machine. We will only issue shared hosting customers temporary SSH access when scripts need to be installed.

What is the 10% price reduction for no script access on shared hosting accounts?

The prices listed on the site come with all the goodies, PHP, MySQL, PERL, & CGI access. Should you require static hosting, purely for bandwidth and no scripts then you will pay 10% less monthly.

Do you backup data on shared hosting accounts?

Shared hosting accounts do not include a backup. We strongly urge you to keep a local backup of your data.

We will provide you with daily backups of your MySQL databases should you require them which you can download to your local machine. We will not keep a copy, you are responsible for keeping the most recent backups of your data. We will simply provide you with the necessary files.

Do you allow adult content?

We do allow adult content as long as the content is fully compliant with Local, State & Federal U.S. laws.

Am I limited on my Shared Hosting account in terms of CPU usage or anything hardware related to performance?

If you purchase the bandwidth only plans then no, there are no restrictions on the bandwidth you purchase and we do not throttle accounts. Everything is fully burstable at maximum performance.

If you purchased a plan "as-is", with MySQL, PHP,& CGI access then yes, there are some limitations.

Generally scripts that process tens/hundreds of thousands of hits per day that are not written properly will cause a problem.

Scripts as mentioned above written in C usually do not cause any problems. So you are free to use such scripts.

Scripts as mentioned above written in PHP/MySQL usually do cause a problem. Please contact us and let us know the name of the software/script you would like to use and we'll let you know if there is a problem with it.

If you do have a site that is processing tens/hundreds of thousands of hits per day we suggest purchasing a dedicated server from us.

Are your shared hosting accounts oversold? How many users do you put on the server?

Shared hosting servers are on a load balanced solution using the best switches. There are 4-6 users per server, across multiple servers.

All of the data you upload, including databases are synchronized across all the servers on the switch. Should one server go down, even the server you are actually on your sites will be accessible via the other servers in the cluster.

We are so confident in saying 100% uptime because our system is virtually fail proof. Please see our SLA for further details.

Does the 50GB free monthly transfer apply to all shared hosting accounts?

It sure does. For each shared hosting plan you purchase you will receive 50GB of transfer 100% free per month, for the lifetime of your hosting account.

This offer is not limited to new customers only. If you are an existing customers and purchase an additional shared hosting plan you are entitled to the 50GB of free monthly transfer.

This offer does not apply to mainstream shared accounts.

Will you install my scripts for me?

In most cases no. Most script writers offer free installation service. If not free, for a small fee. They are also highly qualified to make your scripts/software function properly.

If you have purchased a script that that is not very complex it usually includes very simple, step-by-step installation instructions and it should be a breeze to install.

We are however familiar with a lot of scripts out there so please do not hesitate to contact us. If we can help you we will.

Do you sell any shared hosting plans with a control panel, such as c-panel or Plesk?

We do not offer a shared hosting account control panel. Most of these control panels simply give you the ability to add email addresses, MySQL databases and other simple tasks.

We find, in most cases that such control panels will only bog down the server and chew up system resources when customers are using it.

We will handle all of your account management issues such as updating email addresses, databases and everything else.

Do you allow cronjobs to be setup on shared hosting accounts? How about htaccess/htpasswd, do you support that too? And what about GD/ImageMagick access, will I receive that?


We support all of the above.

What type of webstats do you use for shared hosting accounts?


We will setup Webalizer for every domain on your account.

How many MySQL databases do you allow for shared hosting accounts?


Generally we allow unlimited MySQL databases for shared hosting accounts. It's not the number of databases that could cause a problem it's what they are being used for that potentially could.
