		 Corsairs are nice... they have built on heatsinks... instead of just the bare sticks. i have a pair in my home PC..    
		
	
		
		
		
		
			with RAM .. the general guideline is: 1) Low latency is better 2) speed depends on your MotherBoard you'll most likely have to buy 2 identical sticks since most newer MBs are dual channel... (2 x 512 = 1GB) Memory speed and latency is key in extreme situations.. like if you were to Overclock your PC or something... otherwise just get a lot of what your MotherBoard can support =)

	  even if you're not overclocking, some mobos do better with particular brands of ram. then you get into the whole EEC / non-EEC thing. one is not always better than the other, it depends on what you're using the machine for. (and what your mobo supports) Quote:
