think it would be worth it to set a password on a basic free site or avs site.. then submit it to one of those password site list's as a fake paysite?

might be able to make a few upsells

Did it back circa '98 worked then; it was a great way to get traffic if you knew how to set the codes to expire fast enough.

The good ones only take submitions from "preffered" members. You would have to drop it in a newgroup somewhere and let the big boys come and grab it and submit it for you to the good sites.

I just send everything to a join page.

I remember when I was first listed in password sites and newsgroups, I was fucking thrilled, I felt I finally made my mark!~LOL

banning ip's doesnt work much anymore.. I was on a hack site that not only gave the username and pass but provided a proxie number as well so it looked like one ip accessing the members area

LOL, I can't do that because I'm morally opposed to password sites. However seeing as it's an unavoidable part of the business I try to utalize it to my advantage the best I can, but I could never own one.

sorry but they use a diff method. people that aquire passwords use proxies. and brute force. if people would stop using easy passwords when they signup it would be harder to crack.
