It's hard to offend me if you say "do this to make money."

I'm trying to move out there but I need to save up enough cash for them thar big city prices.

Save me a seat for the Raiders/Jaguars in January!

Low clicks GREAT ratios. If they see an add and they are intrested they buy. If they are not intrested they dont click and you do not loose the surfer..;)

XPays 08-09-2004 09:43 PM

speakthetruth: we had a lot of happy skate rats in that half-pipe and had a good old time.

http://www.adultgossip.com/showpics/

check out the old school show setup. those are the pics from the ramp days. i have seen people joke about that but we enjoyed every second. That was 4 years ago and we were a lot younger then in internet years of course :Graucho

Think I will need armed guards too... I don't wanna fuck with those Mad Max-looking Raiders fans.

iwantchixx 08-09-2004 09:59 PM

Since when was a SEARCH ENGINE the fucking internet police?

This is gay. If they got a problem with a site showing up in serps, go after the damn site owner, not the engine that displays the site as a result on a page that was generated as part of a search script doing it's job. Google has nothing to do with it however I can see why they do it, let google take care of the problem for them so they can continue to ride the cash cow and not have to work themselves

I think people giving google a 'legal' hard time about it's results are plain and simple extorsionists and crooks takign advantage of people who are scared to death of the word "copyright"

Also, putting the legal squeeze on someone because they got a result with suposed "copyrighted term" is utter bullshit. Especialy if the ad materials being used are legit. Even if not legit who cares. It doesn't affect them if they do their own marketing to secure the keywords. Instead of these morons suing and threatenig anyone who does well, why don't they do well themselves and secure the words for themselves (it's called WORKING for results) instead of intimidatign everyone into not using them at all.

what next? Sue google unless ALL terms 'copyrighter' are forwarded directly to their own pages? What happens if a serps is done by accident and not intentional? Will they get legal emails too?

This stinks.

Xpays, you should be ashamed of yourself for being a part of this trend. People like your employer see someone doing well on a keyword they want for themselves, then shit hits the fan. Your boss should be WORKING to gain the keywords dontcha think? Worse is, it's not even his work it was paris who did the fucking.

Nasty trend Wait until someone does well with something, then get ont heir ass screaming copyrights then benefit from it. Almost, Acacia'ish

XPays 08-09-2004 10:00 PM

raiders fans are ludacris:winkwink: and then you go to a 49r's game and it's wine and cheese.

you should change your sig link to webmasters.adult.com

XPays 08-09-2004 10:06 PM

iwantchixx- actually google disabling left side links was shocking. the original issue was actually related to google profiting off of adwords clicks sent to sites that were breaking the rules. our client has a valid gripe and you are a little dramatic with the acacia reference. as to who cares if the ads are not legit- come on now. you can send your paris clicks wherever you want! if you use illegal tactics though, then that is on you. nobody says the links have to go to us or our client's video partners. just don't mislead or deceive the surfer and do not steal images or clips.

XPays 08-09-2004 10:09 PM

yes jacexxx- as you and i have bantered before- the trustfundgirls drm model was not the most profitable for anyone. that is why we launched a conventional paysite and now sales are waaaaaaay higher every day. http://HotelHeiress.com - check alexa and look at the last 3 months growth and have a nice day. the members are happy. also we are securing 3-1/2 hrs of new paparazzi footage of paris to add.

I never said anything about decieving anyone. I agree, if deceptive and a bold faced lie in the serps, then it is an issue to be dealing with google about providing it's actualy google's fault. If it's deceptive ads on the actual site. There is NO reason to go after google about it unless google owns the actual site. Deal with the site owner themselves. It's just that simple. Going after google everytime a copyright holder gets cranky is going to hurt everyone in the long run. it will get to teh point that google will say "ya know, fuck this, lets just shitcan all paris hilton serps". That will hurt more than just people "infringing" and being "deceptive" it will also hurt those who are 100 percent legit and those who are just talking about paris hilton as well as a good chunk of hilton hotel results that have the word paris in them for some reason or another. see what I am saying? it's a downward spiral

XPays 08-09-2004 10:20 PM

iwantchixx- yes that is a huge risk and we already lost several #1's due to google's reaction. i know how much time is spent dealing with infringers every single day and how much damage is done. in this case, it is like a leg had to be amputated to save the person. hopefully it stops here and the people who caused the need for this follow through will stop the shenanigans. considering you see zero spam/email and google is a huge source of traffic for this, the last thing we want is for rick's attornies to push any search engine too far. only 11 urls were removed according to the info i have here. can you imagine how much more money all the legit promoters would have made so far if consumptionjunction and others had not posted the whole video for free? even when it's "just" deceiving a surfer into joining a site with the lure of the video and then not having it- the surfers will never join the legit site after that. We have numerous emails from surfers who have been duped and are very gunshy about hitting the join button due to the fact they were hustled before.

Groove 08-10-2004 12:03 AM

So does the issue of legality apply to sponsors selling the DVD?

And if so, how are we supposed to determine who's legit and who isn't?

XPays 08-10-2004 12:24 AM

Hi Groove,

There are 3 basic ways to be safe:

1) promote hotelheiress and/or trustfundgirls in accordance with our tos of course.

2) promote the sale of the dvd. if you get paid per dvd sale or a percentage of the sale then that is a good signal that your store sponsor is legitimate. ce, pecash, mallcom etc. are good examples of real dvd stores where the surfer is actually buying a product for physical delivery for example.

3) send the traffic wherever you please but do not do so in an unauthorized manner (ie. stolen images, stolen video, misleading text/graphics etc.).

XPays has the exclusive rights to distribute the Paris Hilton/Rick Salomon sex video(s) for online delivery. Any format that allows the customer to pay and play falls into this category. If you are ever in doubt you can always email or call us at XPays for an opinion. We hope that there will be less confusion as well.

Trax 08-10-2004 01:13 AM

This is a joke lol

I won't promote any of that paris shit no more

XPays 08-10-2004 01:31 AM

groove- you are welcome and thanks to you for asking a good question.

trax- that is up to you. but perhaps you should reconsider- it seems like every week to two weeks that paris has some sort of publicity that promoters benefit from. if your links are not up then it will be too late to ride the waves.

we even have new footage of paris from last weekend in our new paparazzi deal. we played a few hours of the footage at a bbq over the weekend and every girl there was glued to the monitor- i asked them why and they said "to see what she is wearing". there is a new hook coming out shortly.... love paris or hate paris, love rick or hate rickl- business is business and we recommend that webmasters offer what the consumer wants rather than not. if they want toasters, give em toasters- (name who's quote that was)

Sykk- I think you are buying too much of the media's BS about Rick.

If you knew the true story of the Paris Hilton tape maybe you wouldn't be so anti- Rick?

Of course I am not at liberty to discuss it-

Congrats to XPAYS AND Rick on the Google moves.

You know I find it very funny in a business that is known for it's lack of originallity- with people stealing designs, tours, content etc...that people would get their panties in a bunch of infringing on a copyright.

I don't understand where most people think they can just get away with infringing.

I have been working alongside of Rick's attornies on a different case-

I wouldn't fuclk with them- I'd just join up for Hotel Heiress

Sure, if you can do that it would be great. Those pages are text only now. I had #1 - #4 for "Paris Hilton Sex Video" and I did ok with the traffic. It was nothing amazing.

I pushed through CeCash, not because I don't like Xpays, but becasue I worked for them for years and I still try to do stuff with them when I can.

Blue_Spade 08-11-2004 11:42 AM

Yea - we've tried sending it to a few places and I think we made more money with the paris SE traffic sending it to reality sites ;)

As for now CE is doing a decent job with the traffic

hi marc- the nightvision 3-1/2 minutes was allegedly stolen from rick. There is nothing "stolen" about the content in HotelHeiress, TrustFundGirls and the DVD.

kush 08-11-2004 12:49 PM

I'd just remove or change the pages to make them happy.

It's not worth jepordizing your site.

XPays 08-11-2004 01:13 PM

update- we have a letter out from the same attorney that is pressing google requesting google reinstate 3 of the dropped url's. the owners of the 3 links have updated their pages to comply.

a new issue we discovered is that jays dvd store was redirecting foreign traffic to a dialer for an unrelated topic. so you click buy dvd and go to an unauthorized page. yes it's a technicality but the lawyers and google want no confusion or deception even if unintended. i contacted jays dvd sponsor to request that the foreign filter either be turned off or directed towards the video thru our dialer option at hotelheiress. we have done our best to help clarify and reinstate worthy links whether promoting our ads or an authorized dvd store. i am sure the foreign redirect on the outside store was an oversite and not malicious fyi.

XPays 08-11-2004 01:47 PM

Yes, I guess the CE store does redirect foriegn traffic or something (which makes sense really), but I'm not really sure why Rick's lawyers have a problem with that.

Either way, I have decided to stop promoting that Paris Hilton video or any PH related site, as that traffic seems to carry a Tutenkamen-sized curse with it.
