I hate shit old metal why can't we count out anything before like 1990 and have some fear factory, slipknot, machine head, tool etc for the top five
|
Fucking great thread. We need like a top 25 to be fair, but here are my votes.
1. Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark 2. Metallica - Fade to Black 3. Iced Earth - Melancholy 4. Cradle of Filth - Hallowed Be Thy Name (Iron Maiden cover, better than the original) 5. Too many good songs deserve #5, I can't decide :ak47: |
Ride the lightning- metalica

Just had a debate about that song the other night and yes, I agree it is better than the original. I just don't think it is the best CoF song but yet it is the only that is ever played at a club I go to. |

I didn't know Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith were considered heavy metal ...
Metallica - Master of Puppets would certainly cut it out in my top 5 :) |
AC/DC Heavy Metal?
I may be ignorant, but I wouldn't consider them to be Heavy Metal. Hard Rock IMO. |
Led Zeppelin and AC-DC only because of the influence they had. Go back to their early days and that was about as hard as music got. Aerosmith - no.
