What's a typical ROI to expect in this industry?

I was just wondering what a typical ROI someone could expect in this industry (obviously it'd depend on the person and they're qualifications, experience, etc.), but just for the "normal" webmaster.

Does anyone happen to know?

It all depends on the quality of the traffic and the content you provide really there is no way that you can just say average because everybody does things different I would say a 3 to 1 if you do things right...

for the majority, there's actually a calculation to use

(return on investment) = 0 - (initial investment + subsequent costs)

It's different for everybody ...

On small ammount it can be really high .

If you go play with big numbers, it will most likely be a lot higher then mainstream but you are taking a chance if you don't know the game
