How to upload pages to Terra.es account?

Hi webmasters, did anybody figure out how to upload html files to Terra web page account,
i managed to figure out the right combination of the phone and zip code but was too weak at spanish to upload any files,

If anybody is wondering which phone number to enter to create an account, use this
phone: 937******
zip: 28000

Phone is from Madrid first three letters are necessary - the asterix marks can be changed with any number, and zip is Madrid postal number, that will do the job!

For thos who dont know, terra.es is a bannerless spanish free host that doesent focus on the importance of their bandwith and how some people use it.

Er... we're already familiar with terra around these parts. Slow as shit, but if you are determined, the ftp is ftp.teleline.es

I wanted to test something, but for some reason or another, I can't even retrieve a directory listing in wsftp or cute ftp.

Are you sure thats it, i tried but i was told by my ftp client that i cant authenticate, could there be anything else i need to do?

You have to actavate your acount before it works. Just signing up dosent start the hosting part.

To prove my point further, if i said my cousin from Spain signed up for that FREE, I WILL REPEAT THAT EVEN ONE MORE TIME - FREE!! account and gave me the password, would anybody here care to be a moral judge?

Deception is ok eh? Good thing you never met my hubby. FREE REPEAT IT FREE does NOT make it ok.

Use a freehost and get real. Your sponsors WILL terminate you for deceptive business practices and they have a way of finding out.

Now that you posted here in the open and they all usually read this board.........

What do you think Lightning? A week before they cancel his accounts. Maybe we should do a pool on this!

I don't have to return arguements for this. Its wrong. Simple, straight, succinct.

Its POOL not poll. Pool on how long your sponsors take to discourage your deceptions.

And its not an attack. I don't attack someone that already has one foot in their mouth.

in my book, lying about a street address or phone # on a free host is not a really big fucking deal. I'm sure most free hosts just ask that info to either make money selling lists of personal info to advertisers (and those advertisers can SMD) or to cover their asses in case they get complaints or have legal problems.

On a side note, one cant help but notice they host porn sites just like Terra does.

Just for the record you don't have to lie to get terra.es webspace . They accept u.s. information on there sign up page !

I think I know why terra continues to let webmasters with adult content continue to use the free accounts..

With all the hype of there free hosting they have every Tom, Dick, and Mary that cant speak a lick of spanish fumbling around there page clicking everything insight trying to figure out how to sign up..

This might be creating click thru revenue for them. It might not be the best converting traffic, but might be adding to click thru numbers..

I have no idea if im right.. Just a guess..

Anyone have opinions on that?

Terra is free, I opened an account when it was open for all countries. But now Telefonica de España (spanish telecom) needs to make money with it, is cutting off employees and the advertising market is down. So they probably will delete you after some time, and Starmedia (latin america content provider, search engines, news, etc... I'm not talking about porn content, hehe) is already doing this.

I'm lucky, because I have 50MB bannerless with brazilian Terra, that I got with my DSL account with them (they're my ISP).
