Rome is #69 on that list?! WTF??
That list is bullshit.

dodger21 08-05-2004 09:15 AM

Sydney has too many asians.

Methodcash Rick 08-05-2004 09:16 AM

Depends on which country has the best / least tax burden

iFliPcEss 08-05-2004 09:18 AM

it would probably in sydney kinda like the atmosphere

hershie 08-05-2004 09:24 AM

If you are into nature and outdoors stuff, nothing even comes close to Vancouver on that list. Seriously, most of those cities are landlocked or the coastal ones have no real mountains or their nature has been trampled over... Vancouver has pristine wilderness right in downtown and so much outdoorsy stuff of different varieties so close.

I live downtown yet am right across the street from a sandy clean beach and ocean and next to the largest urban wildnerness park in North America and there are 3 ski hills within 15 minutes from downtown...

Explicit 08-05-2004 10:14 AM

its gotta be amsterdam, theres no other alternative.

Stamen 08-05-2004 10:43 AM

Vancouver

sixxxth_sense 08-05-2004 10:47 AM

I lived in Sydney for 10 years. It is too polluted for my liking. I am back home on an Island with only half a million people and the cleanest air and water in the world. Our lifestyle is much better here, there is less traffic, less pollution, cleaner water, less crime and so many natural wonders including one of the world's top 10 beaches! :thumbsup

Jace 08-05-2004 01:43 PM

i would move anywhere in switzerland....awesome place

Where abouts in Australia do you live now Firehorse ? I am really really keen to visit australia for a few months, the more I learn about the country the more appealing it becomes.

Can any of you aussies think of any negative points about living in Australia ? What about crime rates, what are they like ?

AphEX 08-05-2004 01:59 PM

Without an ocean coastline and everything that follows from having one, a city shouldn't even be in the top 50 IMHO. Bullshit their 3 cities should place so high.

HoneLynn 08-05-2004 03:37 PM

Vancouver

Radik 08-05-2004 03:37 PM

Vancouver is not that great. I don't see how it could beat out anything in holland :)

Goonx 08-05-2004 03:43 PM

Vienna, Austria :thumbsup

mcmc 08-05-2004 03:53 PM

I would be sliced up and decapitated in just about every city you showed since I am jewish, but if I had to, Yemen seems the most interesting to me.

Ar3s 08-05-2004 04:41 PM

Vancouver, Canada

Just think what that place will look like if an earthquake were to occur there. Yikes.

In a few days I am taking my nephew white water rafting 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver in class 4 rapids in the coldest moving water in the world (100% glacier fed 3 degrees Celcius) where the largest concentration of bald eagles in the world gather. I could go on and on, like 5 minutes from downtown you could be hiking with bears and mountain lions amongst extremely large trees in a rainforest ...

TheWildcard 08-05-2004 05:05 PM

Vancouver for the great weed.

digifan 08-05-2004 05:06 PM

I love Vienna. :thumbsup

I was born and raised there (Chomedey). What a crappy place.

J B 08-05-2004 05:26 PM

Zuerich is a really great place to live... but I have no idea how Frankfurt made the top 10. I can think of many other German cities that are much better.
