After returning 3 of them I decided to buy an Acer. Dell build quality is shitty. I had one defect screen, one rebooting every 5 minutes ($400 repair, few weeks after service period expired) and one dead battery (after 3 months).

I like Dell's laptops, desktops and workstations (never owned one of their servers)..
They don't bog down their stuff with useless software and nonsense, they run stable as hell - I personally have never had a problem with a Dell product (roughly 11 regular machines and 2 laptops). Also have never had a need for customer service, so can't comment on that end of ownership. ![]()

horrible
especially customer service. when shit breaks or you want warranty work they fuck you around to squeeze every dollar out of you. like losing your warranty info and offering to sell it to you a second time for half price or telling you the battery model they currently sell is guaranteed to work in your laptop. but the one they shipped with the laptop they can't guarantee will work because they stopped making it a few months ago. nothing but bullshit |
