OK slight variation between brands, but for the most part its all relatively the same.
Try the 1/2 lb Belgian Chocolate Bars Wal-Mart sells for only $1 each. Then compare that to Godiva at $35 lb. and tell me you can honestly say it's worth 17 times a higher price per pound.
You're paying for the name. I'm not saying its bad, just that its a gimmicky brand.
You can get better tasting stuff in the supermarkets in Belgium. When I was last in Brussels there was a mom and pop type place right next to the Godiva that had lines out the door while Godiva was empty. After eating that stuff I find Godiva too waxy.
Belgian Chocolate is by far the best whether it's the expensive Godiva, Neuhaus, the cheaper Leonidas, Guylian or the Cote d'Or and Callebaut in the supermarkets.
